Great bottle and jar opener
I had an opener very similar to this one for years. After literally opening hundreds, if not thousands, of bottles and jars with it, it finally gave out. The main flaw with my old opener was that the handle was plastic, and after so much use, the plastic handles fell off. They served their purpose, but it was time to get a new opener.Initially I tried getting a different type of opener, such as the clamp type openers, but I found that they did not work anywhere nearly as good as my old opener. For example, they did not fit jars with larger tops. I decided to switch back to my true and tried opener and bought this opener. This opener works just as well as my old ones did, with the bonus that the handle is metal instead of plastic so hopefully it will last me even longer than my original ones did.These openers are great for opening jars and bottles of all types of sizes. For someone with arthritis like me, it’s a godsend. I definitely recommend this opener.

Nice if your hands are big enough
This is a nice jar opener that works very well, as long as your hands are big enough to grab both handles with one hand and the jar with the other.The problem with all openers of this type is that when you give them as a gift to a woman who is not very tall/strong, she needs a third hand: two to grab the handles of the jar opener and a second person to hold the jar, or the other way round.This is not a problem unique to this particular product, so if you are set on buying an opener of this type, this is as good a product as any. Just be aware of the anatomical implications and consider for whom you are buying it.

Use this every day–very helpful
I have arthritis in my hands and had difficulty opening all kinds of bottles. This device is easy to use and opens bottles easily. It doesn’t hurt my hands to use it. Highly recommend.

The best – it works easily
I don’t know why this product isn’t the best seller. This is the third type of opener I have purchased in order to find one which works. This one does with minimum effort. The plastic ones slip and it is hard to get a good grip. I have small hands and it is hard to use the others. This one works beautifully for someone who doesn’t have a good hand grip for whatever reason. I recommend this one.

I have a really hard time opening bottles, jars or any other caps because I have arthritis in my hands and fingers. This opener was such a good find. I can open anything now with this great tool. I love it. It used to be a nightmare just opening a bottle of soda but not anymore.
