Works well. Fastens tightly to jar.
This product works well so far. I had a jar of Garlic I could not get open for weeks. I tried everything to get it open. This opener got it open . Easy to use and works on small, med and large jars.

Saves your hands!
This works well. One thing to be aware of is make sure it’l on jar evenly & after lid is loosened it cont to run for a bit which seems kind of strange. Again it does work well to loosen lids of small to medium size.

BAD (not Poor) QUALITY
In January 2024, I purchased an Instacan Automatic Jar Opener from Amazon. In September 2024, after about 8 months of occasional use, the original jar opener we purchased broke. I contacted Instacan Customer Service and provided a picture of the broken unit (see attached photo 1) and a copy of the purchase receipt. I stated that this appears to be a product defect and should be replaced under warranty.They responded with information about their LIFETIME WARRANTY how to obtain a replacement jar opener. Within a few days I received the replacement jar opener. The Instacan Customer Service team was very responsive with no hassles. I was very satisfied with the way they resolved my problem and gave them a 5 Star rating.However, in January 2025, after only 3 months of occasional use, the second/replacement jar opener has broken again (see attached photo 2). I notified the company that, at this point, I think there is a problem with the basic design of the jar opener. Sending me another replacement will only resolve the problem for a few months before it breaks again. I requested a full refund of the purchase cost under their LIFETIME WARRANTY.The company replied:”Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the issues with the jar opener. We understand your frustration, and we deeply regret the repeated problems you’ve experienced.Regarding your refund request, we kindly inform you that we are unable to issue refunds directly as this could violate Amazon’s policies and potentially jeopardize our seller account. For this reason, we request that you apply for a refund through Amazon’s front-end system.”I changed my initial rating from 5 to 1. For my money I now have two broken jar openers.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM. THE QUALITY IS BAD AND THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY SUCKS.

Frustrated
The first one sent didn’t work. I was told not to return it and they were sending me another one, which I paid for. They tried charging me for the broken one twice. The third time the charged me for the broken one. I hope the customer care agent I spoke to today has the problem resolved. The new one works fine on jars which haven’t been in the fridge. The condensation from refrigerated jars causes slipping and it won’t open them.I would purchase a different one.

It’s easy to use. You have to get it centred over the lid or it topples off as it twists to open it. So much better than running hot water over the Lid using hand held grippers etc.

Not a gimmicky toy to buy, but a genuine aide to have if you need it. It is slow and noisy but does the job well with no effort required. So if your hands and wrists are in very bad condition this will give you more independence. But if they are not so bad you may be better with the manual aides that require some effort.
