This is great! Had a hysterectomy n this helped SO much in the 1st week after surgery! Its not too heavy. Just the right amount of weight. Has several settings to choose from for heat and timer. It covered most of my stomach and upper legs (although I’m short at 5ft 4in). I wish I would have had this sooner! I would definitely recommend if ur having any type of abdominal surgery or for monthly cramps (iykyk).

First of all, I’d like to say, I really really wanted to love this heating pad and I think it’s awesome except for 2 things that are very important to me *but* may not be for you.I wanted a weighted heating pad that really put good pressure on my stomach or my back depending on which area I needed it. This sucker is weighted–it is heavy! The pressure feels amazing and if you are looking for heavy pressure, I got the 7lb, they also have 5lb, I believe.The heating pad is soft, well made, had no strange odor. The cable is intact and I didn’t have any scorching or smelling during heating like some people mentioned.So why am I returning it….There are 2 things I need in a heating pad that this one just doesn’t have:1. Heat: Not hot enough. The heat range goes up, it’s “High” level 6 is “medium” for me and just isn’t warm enough.2. Timer: 2 hour shut off. Okay– I get it that they won’t let you have a heating pad that doesn’t have an auto shut off anymore because people forget to turn them off and then they’ll burn up–BUT– come on, 2 hours? That is laughable. I need something that can make it at night with me when I’m having extreme pain after a long shift.My other heating pad stays on 9 hours, and is much warmer–but it isn’t near as heavy. I had such high hopes for this.If you don’t mind either of those things, if a heating pad doesn’t need to be as hot, or if a 2 hr shut off time is fine with you, then please, get this heating pad. You will love it.For me, it just doesn’t check all the boxes.I’ll be returning.

My New Favorite Thing!
This is my new favorite thing! The other heating pads I’ve purchased in the last few years have male and female ends of the cords that won’t stay together. They just won’t stay plugged in.I have pain in several areas of my body. And unweighted pads won’t fit the contours of my shoulders/hips/hands/ back… I’m old.This 7 lb. weighted pad really huggs everything that hurts. I would say that the way this thing caresses each crevice is like an extra warm snuggle.I can’t vouch for the hook-up yet but I was so happy with the way it contours with many different areas of my body that I wanted folks to know.Other heat pads are stiff so they don’t contour at all and won’t really convey the heat well.Most of us have tried the bead filled, microwave heated pads but microwaving them over and over again is a hassle and it’s very hard to know how long to reheat them since they had just microwaved already. I’ve burned up a few of them.Because of the beads inside of this one being heated from within and the way they transfer the heat so evenly…it seems like the perfect heat pad!I got the large pad yesterday and will get a smaller one, too, for hands, feet, etc.I am thinking of giving them as Christmas gifts.Try one! I think you’ll really like it!
