Customers say
Customers find the jar opener works well on small lids and is easy to use, particularly for those with small hands. They appreciate its effectiveness on various containers, including large jars and Snapple bottles, and consider it a must-have kitchen gadget that helps with arthritic hands. The grip quality receives mixed feedback – while some say it grips wonderfully, others report it doesn’t hold lids properly. Value for money opinions are also mixed, with some finding it worth its weight in gold while others say it’s not worth the cost.

Very clever jar opener. Teeth grip curved bottle tops well. Easy to use by people with small hands
I have two other jar openers, one which works for some applications, and one which I’ve never gotten to work. The former works well on relatively small jars with flat sided lids. But when the lid is large, the sides of the jar opener splay out and are too large for me to hold in my small hands. In addition, it doesn’t work on lids with curved sides. I drink bottled tea, and the bottle tops have curved sides which the other all metal jar opener can’t grip. The teeth on this one hold very well, and I’m able to open the bottle very easily. I haven’t yet tried it on anything really large, but I can see the very clever arrangement of the teeth in the triangular shape which seems to be easy to adjust to whatever size bottle or jar you have. Unlike my other opener though, I don’t have to widen my fingers any more in order to open a larger jar. My other opener is supposed to work on a similar principle as this one, but instead of metal teeth, it has a rubber cylinder that is supposed to grip the sides of your jar. Unfortunately, it doesn’t grip anything; it just slips. That one is useless. I did try the hook to open a bottle of root beer, and it didn’t work. But I have a standard bottle opener for that, so I’m not taking off any stars.

Easy to use and certainly helps open bottles and jars!
I’d seen this and kept it on a wish list. When it went on sale I bought two. We kept one and I’m now using it all the time to open water and juice bottles. I did use it on a condiment jar recently and it worked just fine. Easy to use – just place over the bottle lid, push to position the lid in the Vee by the handle, and turn counterclockwise. Works every time. The other one we bought was for my SIL who has Parkinson’s Disease. I’m not sure how it is working for her but it should really help with her water bottles.

Dependable multi-use product
This product is amazing!!! I used to work in therapy and wish I’d known about this for my patients in occupational therapy! I’ve been on chemo and my fingernails and finger tips are very tender/painful when trying to open things. This device has opened medicine bottle, bottle water, pickle jars, and the end tip can be used to open canned goods with the pull tabs and soda! My hands have moderate issues, but it may be better if the long handle were thicker fot elderly and people with arthritis. Thicker handles for gripping makes it much easier for them. Otherwise! This product is fantastic!

Husbands will never again enact revenge via overly tightening every jar lid known to (wo)man!!
Headline aside, it really has been the best kitchen tool I’ve ever purchased!!! After having carpal tunnel release surgery on each hand this year, I’m still working on regaining strength in my hands. But those jars of salsa arent gonna open themselves!!! (Believe me, I’ve tried.) It’s super easy to use, its efficient, and its held up very well!If your husband/partner somehow manages to get past this Bad Boy, the jar opener has a dual, albeit manual, function… and you can use it to swat at your man instead lol (<-- running = exercise, I'm pretty sure that somehow the swatting motion works out your biceps and triceps. And exercise burns those tortilla chip calories amiright?!)(^ all of that is a joke, please do not hit your partner. Lol)The only downside to this is that you can't yell at your jars of salsa or bang them on the counter or with a butter knife or run them under hot water or yell mean things at your salsa jar because it just.... wont... open....!!!Buy yours today!

Works great & Easy to use!
I started having trouble getting jars open and especially the gatorade bottles that seemed to be glued shut. I am so happy with this opener, used it so far to open spaghetti sauce, garlic bottles, skinny jars of stuffed olives, and gatorade bottles. It’s so easy, I used to struggle & grab a towel to grip and hit on floor to break the seals, now I just line up the teeth and bloop It’s open with little efforts! I was so easy and useful, that I bought one for my big sister who’s 5 yrs older and having touble with grip strength too as we age.

Works best on smaller lids
The first time I used it on jar of jam just to try it out and it worked fine. The next time was a large jar of refrigerated pickles. It didn’t work, partly because everything was wet and slippery, partly because the jar and lid were large. I dried everything and tried again, but soon realized that the opener wouldn’t work very well on large jar lids because the handle on the jar opener isn’t long enough to get enough leverage. Just wouldn’t stay in place like it did on the smaller jars.

a godsend for aging hands
i have noticed over the past 20 years that my grip is slipping (in more ways than one). but along w stiffer hands, i have been lacking strength in my fists for hauling things and opening/unscrewing jars, etc. sometimes it’s physics and breaking a seal w the old butter knife on the edge trick, but often i have to give it over to someone else to try. but this tool is super helpful for everything from jars to bottles. it does the trick and easily. it has a wide range sizes that the teeth will adhere to, and is easy to turn w little pressure on your hands to pop that sucker’s lid right off. wisdom is knowing how to adapt in life, and this dandy little tool is a welcome staple in my kitchen.

Light and easy to use
It is lightweight and worked well. I Wonder how long it will last since it is very lightweight and plastic. I have another one that is made of stainless steel, but it is heavier. The comparison will be interesting.

Tamaño ideal (soy de manos pequeñas) , firme, muy buen agarre; muy satisfecha con la compra.

Works great and with ease but due to the metal blades it tears the metal lids leaving them sharp and not safe

The picture says it all. It worked after I adjusted how I placed the device over the lid.Very smooth motion to open the jar.It feels like it will last for 5,or more years.I like it’s portability so it can be easily stored.
