Similar, but not exactly like my Oneida.
I wanted another Oneida jar opener that is similar to this brand. I guess Oneida no longer makes this product. I still have my original Oneida, this new one was for my camp. It works fine.

Worth the price and affordable
This is a great product. Used it immediately when I received it! I’m pending shoulder surgery so my grip has decreased significantly and this has made opening plastic bottles extremely easy! I have to say however that there has been times when the handle width was wider than my hands allow (because of the bottle lid) so I would have to hold one side of the handle against my side and twisting the bottle/jar with the good hand. Hope that makes sense.

Hard to use
Very difficult to clasp and hold and then twist if you have arthritis in your hands although it’s described as an “Opener for Seniors”.I’m returning this.

Can’t open Bottles, TRY These!!
I bought these items as a gift. My friend has Parkinson’s Disease and has trouble opening bottles & cans. This should help her quite a bit. I’ve had these for years and they work GREAT!!S of E D & S

Useful jar opener, unless you have small hands…
Good jar opener for tough to open jars. My right hand is increasingly arthritic, so this jar opener allows for a positive grip on jar lids (like pincers), allowing me to open sauce jars… This being said, its designed for someone with medium to large hands… For jars with larger lids, it might be tough to manipulate, since the grips would extend beyond the range of one’s hand… If the grips were angled in by perhaps 15-20 degrees, it would be usable for smaller hands…
