10/10 exactly what I was was looking for
I’m a pharmacist for a local grocery chain and while most of the national retail pharmacies have switched over to the easier to open push tab vials, my store still uses the push & twist vials. I’ve been practicing for only two years and have already been told that I will eventually need surgery on my wrist if I keep aggravating it with the repetitive motion of opening/closing vials. I was skeptical if this item would fit the lids that we use, but it works like a charm for 13 dram/16 dram vials. I haven’t tried it on anything bigger, but I highly doubt it would fit based on the circumference of the opener. Regardless, 13/16s are the most common vials we use, so this thing will be perfect for my needs. If you regularly get vials that are on the larger side then I recommend you talk to your pharmacy and request easy-open caps; all of your prescriptions going forward will have lids you can just pop off with your thumb. I have a prescription bottle that I have struggled with everyday until I bought this opener; now I can easily open the stupid bottle without losing my mind and wrecking my wrist. Oddly enough the opener didn’t work at first because it didn’t quite fit the cap but after I forced it onto the cap it worked great and now I don’t have to force it to get the bottle open.By the way, someone mentioned that they thought it was a problem when the cap got stuck in the opener. Actually, having the cap stay in the opener (occasionally) isn’t a big deal… when it happens the “opener” becomes a “closer” and you just use it to screw the cap back onto the bottle; no big deal.I highly recommend this product

Works as described
It works as described. I was able to open a larger-than-average child safety cap off my medications. I still had to push down a bit, but it was easier than it was before without this item. It gives a better grip on the lid as well.

Well made but I thought this would open soda and water bottles but it is too large. Made for bigger size bottles.

Huge help for someone with neuropathy
My dad has neuropathy and has struggled opening various pill bottles. This was a game changer! He’s able to open them with ease. Inexpensive solution to help my dad.

Not easy to use for me
It wasn’t helpful for me when dispensing medication. It did take strain away from my hand, but my upper arm was sore by the end of the day. It may be fine for at home use since you’d use it much less often

I have arthritis so have great difficulty opening childproof caps off medicine bottles. This device will open larger childproof caps but not the narrower ones. Can the manufacturer make one for narrow tops please?
