Very good to monitor for health reasons
I got this for my granddaughter for medical purposes. It’s great because my daughter can keep track of her heart rate and oxygen right from the app. We compared it to her actual medical equipment and it is accurate. Very helpful. The battery life is great as well she only charges it every couple days

Fun, Functional and Kid Friendly
I’ve been testing the Boost 3 fitness tracker with my child for the past couple of weeks, and it’s been a surprisingly effective tool for encouraging healthy habits and staying active. The daily activity tracking is accurate and easy to understand, steps, distance, calories, and active time are all displayed clearly, and the 10 sports modes cover everything from walking and swimming to gymnastics and hockey. It’s great for kids who are into a variety of activities. The health monitoring features are solid for a device in this category. The 24/7 heart rate tracking provides useful insights through the app, and the sleep tracking gives a breakdown of light, deep, and REM sleep stages. Just note that it needs at least 3 hours of sleep to generate a report, which is fair but I don’t trust it too much.I really appreciate the dual mode option, you can use it standalone or connect it to the BIGGERFIVE app (which works well for us on iOS). The app adds more depth to the data and makes it easier to track progress over time. One of the standout features is the habit building reminders. You can set gentle vibration alerts for things like meals, school, and bedtime, which helps kids stay on track without feeling nagged. It’s a subtle but effective way to build structure into their day.The waterproof rating is a big plus. My child wore it while swimming and playing in the rain with no issues. It’s durable and worry-free, which is exactly what you want in a kids’ tracker.Design-wise, the display is bright and colorful, and the silicone band is soft and comfortable. It’s playful without being too childish, and the interactive games add a fun touch that keeps kids engaged.Overall, the Boost 3 is a well rounded fitness tracker for kids. It’s packed with useful features, easy to use, and durable enough for everyday wear. If you’re looking for a gift that encourages movement and healthy routines, this is a great choice.

Good value, good quality, works well, accurate pulse, pulse ox, no phone alert features.
This is a good value for a basic kids wearable fitness tracker watch that’s good quality, works well, has good features and a good app.I like it overall and would recommend it, but have realistic expectations on what it can and can’t do and it strengths and weaknesses. It’s impressive for the budget price, but it may not be for everyone.I actually like it better than my previous Garmin Vivosmart 4. It performs equally well on pulse ox, pulse and even better than the Garmin on sleep monitoring as well as being more comfortable to wear. The carton it comes in calls it the Tictiky Boost 3 for the model. I wasn’t familiar with Tictiky before this but if you look them up they do make a few different models that appear to overall have favorable reviews. It’s marketed toward kids vs adults and teens.I think the age range for this is going to be more for kids than teens and adults. Some teens and smaller wristed adults could enjoy it if they customize it in the app. I’m an adult and I can comfortably use it and do like it even with some phone use features missing that other wearables have. The issue for some is going to be the missing phone features. Since it’s for kids, they did not include some phone features other wearables have likely for safety reasons and parental control. While it has fitness and body monitoring features it lacks phone features. It can connect easily with Bluetooth to your phone or a parent’s phone. But it won’t show phone calls, texts or alerts for the phone. This makes sense for a device for kids. If you don’t mind not getting phone alerts for texts or calls, it otherwise performs well. I actually like that it won’t wake me up with a phone alert. For reference and contrast, my previous wearable I had for several years was a Garmin Vivosmart 4. It worked very well on pulse ox and pulse monitoring. I think this device works just as well for both pulse ox and pulse monitoring. It has the same style of sensor on the back and the light for pulse ox.The Garmin was useless for sleep tracking I never could get it to work properly. This device works very well for sleep tracking. No sleep tracking is going to be perfect or like a sleep study. But it actually could tell when I was asleep vs the Garmin that would miss sleep and count me as awake. It does show time slept, deep sleep, light sleep. But you can only see it in the app not on the device. It worked surprisingly well and far better than I expected after how my Garmin performed. The Garmin app was okay and had it’s strengths and weaknesses. The app you use with this device is the Biggerfive app. It was available and free in Android on the Google Play store. You do have to give it several app permissions such as location. The App was easy to use and you don’t have to sign up for anything or with email. You do create a user profile inside the app for the watch wearer. I’m not sure if the device will work with other apps. When you pair it in the app, if you’re having difficulty getting your phone or device to recognize it in the app, be sure you’ve already paired it with the BlueTooth inside your phone or device. I had this issue until I went back and paired it with BlueTooth in my phone, then the app could find the device. So let your phone’s BlueTooth setting see it and pair it first, then try to pair it in the app.Important note on pairing it and setting it up in the app. If you don’t do this, it won’t work. Do not in the app add it as a watch. It won’t work and it can’t find it. Below the watch is the option to add a “bracelet” (vs watch), select that option and it immediately will see it (if your phone’s Bluetooth is on). It won’t see it if you have already set it up for use without the app. You will have to reset the device to pair it. If you can’t see it in the app, reset it in the settings on the device itself, reset the device in it’s settings. I had to do this to get it to show up. Once I rest the device using the touchscreen, it restarted (I did reset vs just restart) and paired. You don’t need to pair it to an app for general use. However, if you want to use it with the app, install the app first before starting the setup. When you start initially, it asks on the screen if you want to use it with or without an app. If you set it up without the app, you will have to go into it’s settings menu and reset it (not just restart) to get it to pair with the app. I did set it up both ways and this was what I had to do to get it to work with the app.The App is where you can find more free watch faces. There are only a few pre-installed on the device and they’re more for smaller kids. There were a limited amount of free watch faces in the app and some would be fine for teens or adults. They were pretty nice overall, but I would have liked a larger range of watch faces. You can’t delete the pre-installed watch faces. You’ll have to install any additional ones in and from the app, not the device. What you can and can’t do, features if you do or don’t use the app:-General watch use (clock, alarm, stopwatch, timer)-Pulse (for continuous use you must set that up in the app, you can only get a quick read without it)-Pulse Ox (for continuous use you must set that up in the app, you can only get a quick read without it)-Fitness tracking (steps, miles, more info in the app)-Games (very limited, just okay, more for small kids)-Electronic Pet (game)-Sleep tracking (you’ll need the app to see it)-Habit formation (you’ll need to use the app to set those up)-Workout (will work best with the app)-Activity (will work best with the app)-Weight (will work best with the app)If you set it up without the app it asks for: age, height, weight (change it from KG to US measurements in the app settings)Note that the menu on the device face has an upper (top of the screen) scroll menu and lower (lower screen) menu to scroll. There is also a side button on one side, but no other buttons.Features it does not have:-EKG monitoring-BP monitoring-Phone connectivity to get call, message alerts or make or answer phone calls-Can’t play musicThe Garmin was slimmer but less comfortable than this wearable. This one is lighter, more comfortable even at a wider width. The band quality and feel is similar, but this one feels more comfortable. I think this one is more comfortable and easier to wear than the Garmin, which is surprising.Size wise, it’s fairly large. It’s going to look and feel fairly large on smaller wrists. For reference I’m a 5’1 female adult with a smaller frame at 108 pounds and small wrists. I can usually wear kids and teen watches and wearables, and sometimes do due to them being slimmer and lighter. I would say ages 6-12 for boys, 6-16+ for girls on the wrist size. It’s not one larger adult and teen males will be able to wear. It may be large, but it feels light and not bulky or heavy. It actually looks like it’s made for an adult female in an average but not too large or small size. I would think it was an adult female size to look at it.It only comes with one band that’s pre-installed. I’m not sure if additional bands or replacement bands are available or if it will work with bands from other brands. In this variation the band is ebony (as is the entire device) with a bright orange contrast loop (like a watch band loop). The silicone is soft and it’s comfortable on the skin. It’s like a watch band in how you put it on.I did find it a little difficult to put on. Smaller kids are going to need help with this. I use it on my left wrist and I am right handed. I found the watch style clasp to be a little difficult to put on myself. I had to lay my wrist down on a flat surface to put it on. It was a little hard to get the watch strap back through the loop. I would consider it moderately difficult to put on, even vs the Garmin I had previously. It’s the curve of the clasp that makes it a little harder.Like the Garmin, how you wear it matters on the accuracy of both the pulse ox sensor and the pulse. If it’s too loose it will give a reading that’s highly inaccurate. It can’t be too loose (but doesn’t need to be too tight). It needs to lay flat on your wrist (you can wear it on your upper wrist like a standard watch not just on the inside of the wrist) snugly. I thought the pulse and pulse ox didn’t work at first. I was comparing it to my fingertip pulse ox and pulse monitor and it was 10 pulse points off and 3 off pulse ox. If you have a pulse ox fingertip monitor, use this to help you figure out the fit. After I tightened the fit and let it sit a minute to get the reading, it quickly came very close and often matching, impressively in line with my fingertip pulse and pulse ox monitor. The readings would be in the range of accuracy and pairing that I would have with my Garmin. They don’t always sync instantly in real time (they aren’t paired, I mean visually as you look), but if you give it a few seconds you’ll see the accuracy of the wearable and how close it is to the fingertip device. If it doesn’t look that way after about 30 seconds to a minute of initial use, adjust the fit a bit tighter. The pulse ox, when fit properly was often equal and matching to the fingertip monitor. I’d say matching 85% of the time. 15% of the time within 1 number. So the accuracy is at least 85% on the pulse ox, if worn properly. If it’s too loose, it will look too high. The pulse rate, when fit properly was also often equal and matching to the fingertip monitor, and it would move in variation up and down fairly quickly with the fingertip monitor. It does sometimes take a second when you first put it on and start monitoring to get the reading. But it stabilized very quickly and quickly equaled the readings on the fingertip monitor. It’d say it matched 95% of the time. The other 5% was 1 occasionally 2 pulse points off. So the accuracy when worn properly, I’d guess at close to 95%. But, if you don’t have it worn properly, it’s going to be about 10 points lower than is accurate. There is no carrying case with it. Instructions are included, but they are fair at best. They aren’t very comprehensive and it could have used better instructions. It is rechargeable and comes with a USB cable but no USB friendly electrical plug in. The charging cable is not standard style or universal, it’s fit to the device. The charging is a magnetic “dot” style and you place it on the underside of the watch (where it would normally sit on your wrist). The charger works well and is easy to use place and it stays stable during charging. You’ll see it on the watch face during charging that it’s charging. If you don’t see it on the watch face it may not be charging or connected properly. The watch face screen is fairly large and has a good adjustable brightness. The text and readout, symbols are easy to read. I much prefer this screen to my old Garmin. It does look very nice especially for the budget friendly value. It does have an issue my Garmin also had that can be frustrating. There is no way to set it to not turn the screen off very quickly, sometimes instantly during use. It can turn off very quickly during use and monitoring when you don’t want it to. There’s no way to set a time out or delay. It’s to save battery life, but it’s frustrating. The screen only lights up when you touch it or move your wrist toward your face to read it.I also found that the touch screen didn’t always want to wake as quickly to touch and I had to touch several times or press the side button. There isn’t any issue with the screen navigation or touch when it’s awake, it just doesn’t awake that quickly. However, it also means that just bumping or touching the screen doesn’t cause issues as well.I did have occasional vibrations on my wrist that I’m not sure why it vibrated. My Garmin also did that. It didn’t do it that often and didn’t do it during sleep and wake me.I had one issue that was easy to fix but appeared to be a larger issue but ended up being a very minor one. Just go ahead and immediately restart the device (not reset) after you pair it in the app. I found that this was needed to get the pulse and pulse ox to work correctly and not give me a false error “wear your device properly” (something to that wording).I had previously used it without the app and both monitors worked perfectly and I had it on and fit the same. If you get this error during use and it’s fit properly and flat, tight enough on the wrist, restart the device and it did clear it.You do have to change the pre-set unit from KG to pounds in the device or app or it’s frustrating for standard vs metric users to use. I’d start with this before you set it up as your first step.Overall, I’m impressed by it, do like and and recommend it. I found a screen in the app I liked to make it usable for an adult (teen or older kid). The pulse ox, pulse, sleep features worked impressively well. I don’t mind that I can’t get phone notifications, which frankly I don’t always want to get during rest.If you want to continuously monitor your pulse or pulse ox, you have to set that up in the app settings, it won’t do that automatically or without the app. It did monitor it during sleep. The sleep monitor was automatic, I didn’t have to set it up, nor tell it I was going to sleep on the device or app.Even with continuous monitoring, the battery life is good and I’d say you’d charge it about every 2 days on that setting. The charge time is rated at 2 hours so it’s fairly quick.I would consider it safe for those sensitive to scents as I didn’t notice any odor to it.It does say it’s waterproof 3ATM. So it should hold up well to moisture.

I ordered this kids fitness tracker watch for my 12 year old with SEN. He loves all things numbers, and so is very pleased to see how many steps he has taken over the course of a day. He also likes to see his heart rate in real time and is fascinated with how it changes with his daily activities. The watch itself is comfortable for him to wear, it has a rubbery strap which is better for him as he has sensory difficulties.I like that we can set reminders for him as he does get distracted easily, and this can help him remember which of his routines to do next. I also like that this is waterproof, as he loves water play and doesn’t need to worry about taking it off. There are some games built in, but he is more interested in the stats side of things. It has a nice, child friendly user face and the battery lasts almost a week before we need to charge it again.I haven’t connected it to the app as he doesn’t have access to a smart phone, it would have to go on my phone, but this is certainly something I am planning to try in the future when he is a bit older. This watch was £35.99 (£28.79 with a voucher) at the time of this review, and I feel this is a great price, especially because you dont need the app for the features, (I think the app would save the data abit like branded fitness trackers). Because its not a smart watch, he’s allowed to wear it at school too, but it still has lots of great features included. He definitely gets a lot of joy from it so its 5 stars from us.

I think this smartwatch is great not only for kids, but for adults as well. It fits on my adult male wrist (then again, I don’t have a chunky wrist), and the settings allow for my age, height, and weight, so why not. It’s very easy to use without the app. I set everything up right on the watch itself. Tried one of the games (which I mastered rather quickly, lol), and checked my heart rate and blood oxygen levels. The heart rate was accurate against both my manual count as well as my other smartwatch. The oxygen level was consistent with my other smartwatch too. It’s super lightweight and small, so it’s easy to fit under my short cuff (unlike my other watch, which is too large and a lot heavier). The screen is bright and clear. However, because it’s a small screen, I prefer to view it without my glasses on (holding it closer to my face). This little smartwatch is perfect for counting my steps during the day at work, without it being visible on my wrist. Also excellent for when we travel because it won’t add weight, and if the country is hot, this won’t add to the heat on my wrist.Comes with a charger that orients itself and attaches magnetically. It’s impossible to attach it incorrectly. All in all, great value at only CDN$40 (with the coupon at the time of writing this review).
