Always wanted a visual timer, this one rocks
LOVE this thing. The timer is loud enough, but goes on for no more than 6-7 seconds if you can’t get to it fast enough to turn off (for example, if you’re in another room). I love the blue and red colors, the design is very cute, and the magnet is strong to hand on the fridge or other magnetized surface. It has a little notch in the back bottom to sit comfortably on the desk at a little angle upwards to you. Overall very pleased with this!

A super visual timer for all ages.
OVERALL: 100% recommend this great visual timerFUNCTION + EASE OF USE: This timer functions beautifully. It has an indented button on top to turn off the beeping or turn off the sound. It’s super easy to use. I think this would especially be great for folks with arthritis or little children because it’s super easy to turn to make it work or not. It has 2 magnets on the back side which seem to be quite sturdy and powerful. When put on my microwave door, it still didn’t fall off when the door was slammed, which is pretty good. However, it doesn’t take an inordinate amount of effort to remove when attached magnetically. It also has a little dent on the bottom side to let it sit on, which doesn’t seem large enough to do the job, but I have had no issues with it moving or rolling.SIZE: The size is larger than I expected based on the product listing photos, but that’s not a bad thing. The numbers are even pretty large, so it might be great for someone with visual impairments regarding the numbers as well as the red slice that is shown. It is thicker than I thought it’d be, but that’s not a deal breaker for me.SOUND: The sound is loud and clear, which I really appreciate. It doesn’t last forever, which is also nice. It really finds the “sweet spot” in my opinion for how loud it is and the length of beeping….its enough to know it’s gone off but not so much that you’re like “shush, i get it, ya dumb thing.”ACCURACY: I’ve found it’s really common that with turn-style timers, what they gain in visuals and size, they lack in accuracy…..but that is NOT the case here. The red bar and the overall time is really accurate, even when compared to my phone timer. I’ve had some timers before that you wouldn’t want to bake by because the time is off, yet this one seems VERY accurate and I would say that it would do well to bake/cook/work by.I think this would be fantastic for all ages, for school, for work, for pretty much anything.

Perfect for Young Kids Who Struggle with Transitions
I received this product for free through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.________________________________________The timer came packed in a box just large enough for it, with no extra packing materials. The manufacturer provided an insert with instructions. It’s a little over 3” square, and about 2” front to back. It requires 2 AAA batteries, which you’ll have to supply.Young children have no sense of time, so having them wait for five minutes can be torture for them. This timer offers a visual countdown strip of bright red, so your child can see how much time she started with and how much is left. Seeing the time slipping away can provide context and help your child understand how long they have to sit still or how long they have left to get their toys put away. The timer provides an audible “time’s up” signal, but you can switch that to a visual flashing light signal. The audible signal isn’t a loud, obnoxious beep, more a chirp that is loud enough to hear in the next room but not enough to cause auditory damage. The bottom of the timer body has an indentation that forms a sort of base, so it doesn’t need extra feet to stand it up. It also has a pair of magnets on the back side, so you can stick it on your refrigerator or other metal surface.Sometimes, when we keep our granddaughter, her mom will tell us when she’s on her way, and we can say, “Watch this red bar. When it gets really small, your mom’s almost here.” Or we can set it for bedtime routine, because she has trouble settling down when she stays with us. Half an hour of television time, then ten minutes of book time, then ten minutes of snuggles, then bed. She doesn’t always like having to stop what she’s doing, but she can see when she needs to finish up.This little timer seems pretty well-made, and it functions well, exactly as the instructions say it should. Pretty good value for a tool that will be used a lot.

Great Pomodoro timer for visualizing the focus time. Not suitable for young kids tho
This Pomodoro timer is a great visualization tool. I wanted to use it for our kids (6 and 8) to focus them on brushing teeth. This won’t work well as the scale is covering a full hour and 3 minutes are just too small for being a helpful tool. Also the overall build quality is a tad bit too flimsy. The manual specifically states to not dial the timer back to zero too hard / beyond zero and I believe that remark. My kids would probably kill it in 3 days. It can switch between a very loud beeping alarm or a blinking LED when done counting down. The beeping is very loud and the volume can’t be adjusted (bummer) and the visual alarm cue is at the very top of the timer. To fully see this alarm LED, the timer has to be at least 1.5ft away on my desk to fully notice it peripherally. Also, the change of mode can’t be done via a simple switch on the back where I would have placed it as a product designer, instead one has to double press the sole button on top which indicates the switch with either beeping or blinking. If you don’t know what you left the timer with the last time, you have to test it before you can be sure. So some room for improvement here. I would give it a 3.75 stars, which I round up to 4.
