Customers say
Customers find the jar opener works well on most jars, including filters, and praise it as the best on the market. The tool is easy to use and opens jars effectively, with one customer noting it provides the necessary leverage. However, durability is a concern as multiple customers report it breaking within two months. The grip and value for money receive mixed feedback, with some finding it well worth the money while others disagree.

Have owned one for 10 years, just bought 3 as gifts
This is the best jar opener on the market, at least that I have found. I have recommended this to many people, particularly those with arthritis as it is easy for them to use. In the ten years I have used this jar opened, it has opened all but one jar. It adjusts to an infinite number of lid sizes as long as they don’t exceed the max reach and can even work on somewhat irregularly shaped lids. I am giving my adult kids these as stocking stuffers this year!

A great plastic bottle opener
If you have arthritic hands, as I do, this is the answer! Specifically, I drink sugar free Gatorade. Opening them with arthritic hands was impossible. With this opener it is simply, EZ PZY!1using

Works very well. Has limitations we have rarely encountered.
My partner and I have used this product for several months now. We both like it. The two limitations we’ve encountered are:- It can’t open bottles whose lids are less than 1″ in diameter. We’ve only encountered 1 such bottle so far.- With one type of jar, the lid wasn’t a parallel cylinder — is was at a slight angle. Every time we tried to open it with this device, the device came apart internally, and we had to unscrew the device, reset it, and screw it back together. This is a factor of the internal mechanism design. We only encountered it once.I would recommend this purchase. My partner is buying them as gifts for her mom and grandma.

It’s an interesting design. It does work fine. However, for many jars I had to get someone else to hold the jar while I was turning the tool! It is really hard to do it alone unless the cap is not too tight. One hand on the jar and one hand on the unit just does not work most of the time. So, if you have arthritis and no one to help, this is not for you. Even without arthritis, if you live alone, this is not for you…

I purchased this opener for my mom who has trouble opening large jars. This produce far exceeded my expectations. Easy to tighten over jars. Not necessary to over tighten. Teeth on the 3 contact points do mark the sides of the lids, but these are jars of tomato sauce, beets, honey. Not looking to save them. The handle is what makes the difference making it easy to turn. My mom is able to open and close Large jars down to water bottle lid size. I’m thinking of buying one for myself.

This is a very useful tool, it works well from pop bottles up to giant Costco sized pickle jars. Easy to use, seems sturdy. Definitely recommend this one. Poor hubby feels left out, I’m not bugging him to open things for me anymore.

I bought this item for my wife who has arthritis. It’s a godsend for her. She was unable to open most jars and I’m not talking about brand new jars that haven’t been opened yet. I’m talking about a jar that has already been opened. This items attaches very easily with a few turns of a handle and then the leverage comes into play. She has virtually no problem opening any jars anymore. One of the nice things there are no batteries and there really is nothing that can break on it. Very good item to buy for those who have any physically limiting abilities. Also I use it myself to open brand new factory sealed jars that are really hard to open !!!!
