Perfect kitchen accessory and also keep one in car now
As I’ve gotten older it gets harder to open jars and lids. This works the best. Actually used it on a friends “go pro” camera to get the lens off and put on a different lens. Neither of us could get a grip on it, but this made changing the lens easy. Back to the real reason I bought this is it is great for bottle lids also. I’ve since bought others and given as a gift.

A frequent reorder for me
Easy to use, and works really, really well. This is a many-times reorder for me. It’s great to include in a wedding-shower gift bag, or a stocking stuffer. Most effective jar opener I’ve used, and the most reached-for one for more than three decades now. The frequence of the reorder is for giving. I’m still using my original one.

Jar opener works well.
Works well on jars difficult to open, but gave no instructions on how to use it. Have chemo currently and occasionally have hands and feet syndrome. It does the trick, ultimately.

Great jar opener
Mom has one of these from the sixties and it works great, everyone at the picnic saw it and had to have one. Very easy to use

To small, not strong.
To smallBent when using on a wide mouth jar. Did eventually work but only used once and is now trash.

Replaces a worn out opener
I had an opener like this for years and used it so much I wore out the teeth. I’ve tried other openers but was never totally happy with them. The original company is no longer in business and I worried about this brand but it is sturdy and is doing a good job

Classic and simple tool.
My mom had a jar opener when I was younger 5 years old, now I’m 65 years old and I’ve been trying to find another like it. Modern openers are too complex, this one is simple and elegant in the way it works and doesn’t need batteries. It has always worked, now I have two, one 60 years old and one brand new.

Works with jar-caps up to 4″ diameter, but clunky/awkward to use.
The maximum-diameter of this jar-opener’s openings for jar-cap removal is approximately 4″, which is great since many of my jar-caps have a diameter of approximately 3.4″ or more.Consequently, this jar-opener works for many of the usual large jar-caps.Unfortunately, this jar-opener’s design is somewhat clunky and awkward to use, especially since one must hold tightly the 2 opposing parts of this jar-opener while simultaneously rotating this jar-opener counter-clockwise in order to remove the jar-caps.Consequently, I prefer the well-thought-out design of ASIN B0969BGWML, which is easy to use and works well for all jar-caps up to approximately 4″ diameter.
