    Thank God for this book.
My little boy Connor was born with exactly the same problems as little Lukas. On top of it his late mother was diabetic and we had further complications. At 9 months old we first heard the name CVI as we knew there was something drastically wrong with his vision. My family and I have been devastated, especially because of the un enthusiastic response we’ve had from his pediatric neurologist and other specialists. At five months my little boy started having infantile spasms aka West Syndrome which we also finally managed to get under control. My son is now 10 months old and last night while researching his condition I finally came across this book and read the sample. Needless to say I was completely blown away by the fact that somewhere out there, some wonderful people had taken the time and made the effort to write this book on what describes my childs condition to the T. Today I know our lives will change forever and that my little boy is going to learn to see the world that I has his only parent was so sad that he was going to miss out on.Thank you for giving us hope and inspiration. No amount of money, words or deeds can thank you all enough for paving the way forward in dealing with our special little angels. I hope that I can post a success story here in the future.God bless you.Ian AntillSouth Africa

    Excellent resource for parents
I bought this book after finding Littlebearsees.org and hearing the authors speak at a vision conference. I am a parent of a child newly diagnosed with Cortical Vision Impairment and have found this book to be an excellent resource in many ways. It gives imformation about what a diagnosis of CVI means, their own and several other family’s experiences, and specific characteristics of CVI. My favorite chapters give information about 1) specific things a parent can do every day to help their child learn to see and 2) learning to navigate Early Intervention and Special Education. This book is a very useful tool for me on a daily basis and is very easily read. I have borrowed it to nurses and therapists who care for my child and have had great response from them as well.

Exactly what I was looking for!
This book helped me so much. Being a mother to a child with disabilities is tough. This helped me in determining what direction to take for my son and his vision. I gifted it to his therapist to help spread the knowledge and help other parents .

A must have for parents of children with CVI
I got this book and within 2 days of reading it Julia was rolling over while trying to reach for something. To think that she has never done this because of her vision! WOW! There are so many helpful tips in this book, I want to buy 10 of them to leave with doctors and therapists so that we can all be on the same page while working with our amazing children.

Written by parents of a child born with, and diagnosed with Cortical Visual Impairment. The monumental love and unending determination it took to find answers, a diagnosis, and all things necessary to help them, their family, their son on their journey with CVI.

    Great for parents
This is an excellent book for parents of children with Cortical Visual Impairment. It is well written and has many helpful resources. It is a wonderful addition to the very small library of books parents can use when their children have this type of visual impairment.

“Our grandson Lewis is diagnosed with cerebral palsy and is judged to be’brain blind’ (Cortical Visual Impairment – CVI). His mother Tara and grandmother Kathy have both read the book ‘LittleBear Sees’ by Fredy Bush, Aubri Tallent etc, and found it very good and encouraging and are actively trying toimplement exercises and methods of cerebral stimulation that hopefully may open up newvisual pathways. A main concern is that some medical staff that are involvedwith Lewis at his clinics would appear to leave much to be desired in theirtraining and awareness of these ideas; this leaves the family feelingisolated and concerned that any progress for Lewis is slower than it needbe.”VF
