    Very helpful device! Increases independence!
Very helpful pill organizer. The alarms help reduce missed meds! Easy to set up and have ready to go. The lock helps ensure that medications are not accidentally spilled if unit is knocked off the counter and accidentally accessed by someone who should not be in them. Great product for someone who needs a little assistance with managing medications. Sturdy base and alarm volumes are adjustable or can be muted. I like the wi-fi capability and the reminder messages on my phone if I was not home when the medication was due.

If it’s going to be replaced with a new one.
I’ve only had it for three months and it only worked for two months. How did everybody know what that company is gonna do for?

Very good, but room for some improvements
This was an excellent purchase for automatically dispensing pills two times a day for my mother, who lives in a different city from me. She’s 92, lives alone, and has some memory challenges. She had previously been inadvertently skipping medicines, or doubling-up on some medicines. This pill dispenser reliably dispenses pills at the right time, gives her both audio and visual alerts, and allows me to remotely monitor whether she took her meds on time, late, or skipped. I can also remotely adjust the alarm times. This pill dispenser can be a literal life saver. That being said, there is room for design improvements1) It is not simple for an elderly person to receive their pills. The pill compartments should be more curved, to allow an easier removal of the pills. With the current design, the entire dispenser needs to be turned completely 180 degrees upside down to pour out the pills. Alternatively, it may be better to design it to automatically drop pills into a tray, like an automatic pet feeder2) Small, light pills can stick to the pill compartment. This may be my fault as perhaps moisture on my fingers transferred to one of the pills, causing it to stick to the compartment and not pour out even when the dispenser was upside down and shaken.3) No frequency control for voice and alarm. Most older people suffer hearing loss, particularly at the higher frequencies. While the alarm volume can be adjusted, it would be nice to be able to adjust the voice and alarm frequency4) After I refill the pill compartments, there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to reset the app’s “end date” or “doses left”. Tapping on “Reset Alarms” erases the all alarm times.5) When looking into the open pill slot at an angle, the transparent pill compartments can give the illusion that there are still pills left in the empty, open pill compartment. You can see the pills in the next compartment, and it can appear that those pills should also be poured out, but you can’t because they are really for the next day.6) The “Push” button is confusing, because it is meant for the person refilling the pill tray, not for the person taking the pills. My mother saw the “Push” button and thought that was the way to dispense pills. A better design would be to put the push button on the bottom, the same place where the lid lock is located. Interestingly, all features not meant for the pill users are locked and hidden (setting alarms, setting time, adjusting volume, changing batteries) EXCEPT for this “Push” button

    Works so well for reminders.
This helps with reminding when to take medication. Easy to set up and program. Definitely worth the money. I like that it locks so only the correct dose can be taken and it can be programmed through the app from anywhere.

Phone app is USELESS unless you are on the same wifi network.
I purchased this product to help my mom age in place at her home because it came with an app to monitor its usage as I don’t live with her.I ran into two problems:First, my phone would periodically say it is “offline” with the machine. When I called customer support I was told the phone and the machine have to be on the same WIFI network for the app to work. That is USELESS – why would you need an app to check if the person has taken their medication if you are in the same location.Second, based on the dosage ring you choose, there may be unused spaces. When the machine gets to those spaces, it does not automatically jump over them. The user/manager (me) has to manually move the ring to the next dosage. Again, USELESS for someone who does not live with or close to the user.My biggest problem with these two issues is that no where in the manual does it say this. If it did, I would have purchased another product. And this product was not cheap.Customer service said there is nothing they could do other than “let the developers know.”I am not writing this to be a jerk but rather, I wanted others out there to know the limitations of the machine so they can make an appropriate decision. I hope this review helps someone. And for all of you out there who are helping an older person age in place – thank you very much.
