Amazing Product!!!
I have had LockStar installed on our front entry door for about a year and a half now. Our experience with using the lock over that time has exceeded expectations, in terms of durability and reliability of the product. Beyond that, we have maintained a high level of trust that the lock has operated in such a way to give us comfort about security, flexibility in offering different access types to different individuals as well as peace of mind in being notified by name who is coming and going at the house.LockStar put in so much thought into every aspect of the product:- Installation was very easy. The Video is all you need, but there are also clear written instructions with easy to follow illustrations.- The Package comes with everything you need. There is even a very nice quality screwdriver and hole saw just to the exact site needed for installation. I’m suprised they didn’t throw a drill in there too (Just Kidding) 🙂 But really, what a nice touch…show super care for the customer experience.- There is a card in there giving an option to text your name, email and serial number to activate your warranty. Super easy and I don’t know how many times I’ve skipped over registering a product because it seems like a more complicated process. But I did register this product and actually heard back directly from the owner.- There is an installation Video for the Lock, the App and the Gateway…all very easy to follow.In terms of operation:- In a year and a half, the lock has never failed to let someone through the door that had a valid means of entry. At times, when it has rained and someone’s thumb or finger is wet, it is not able to detect on the fingerprint scanner as well. But as a backup, everyone has a code that can be entered into the keypad. And some individual in the house carry the key fob on their keyring just as a third option.- For other types of access such as if we have a cleaning service out to the house, I can either issue a temporary code, or have someone call me when they get to the house. I can then see them on my ring cam and can then use the LockStar App to manually press the Unlock button to allow them into the house.- In a year and a half, the gateway has never failed to send me notifications about who is coming and going, except when it had accidentally been unplugged from the wall. As soon as we powered it back on, notifications started coming through.- The App is incredibly user friendly. I love the fact that I can register a fingerprint / passcode / key fob…to a Name and then know by name who has come through the door.- I’m also notified each time someone is attempting to gain access and is denied…such as a unmatched fingerprint or passcode.I just cannot think of anything that was missed in terms of offering a very high quality / reliable / easy to use product that ensure security while providing peace of mind in know when your family / kids are coming and going at the house.The owner was super thoughtful in every aspect and detail of the customer experience and has shown above and beyond care in just sending a simple text in response to my registration checking in on how things were going with my use of his product.This is a single family owned business and I hope if you read this review you will consider supporting them as I cannot imagine you will find a better product for the price with these same options and you certainly will be supporting a family that cares greatly about their contribution to lives of others because of the care they have put into every part of the process.

Reliable, Easy to Use, and Worth Every Penny!
I originally bought a few of these smart locks for my business properties and was so impressed with their performance, reliability, and ease of use that I decided to purchase a couple more for my own house.The setup was straightforward, and I especially love having the peace of mind that comes with multiple keyless entry options. The app makes it so simple to control and monitor access, whether I’m home or away. It’s durable, looks sleek, and has held up perfectly.If you’re looking for a top-tier smart lock that works flawlessly, look no further. I’ve tested it in a high-traffic business setting and a personal home, and it excels in both!

Simple installation, intuitive app, and a great value for the price.
My LOCKSTAR Smart Door Lock arrived on 11/7 and I installed it the very next morning. My existing Codel Fiberglass entry door already had a deadbolt, so there was no need to core out the door. I was surprised that the package included a hole saw, wood spade drill bit, and small #2 Phillips/Standard screwdriver to simplify installation. Installation was very straight forward.Installation Key Tips: 1) Make sure to place the knob in the vertical position for Right Open Doors or horizontal position for Left Open Doors. I missed this step and had to remove and reconfigure. Test the latch and knob mechanism before moving on. 2) Make sure the cable passes under the deadbolt and to the side of the mounting plate as specified. While installing the indoor lock body, I found it necessary to gently push the extra cable under the mounting plate. Keep the cable away from the rotating spindle.I opted to NOT install the Auto Door Close Adapter (N). I thought this made the interior install much cleaner, and less cluttered with fewer parts. Next, I just configured the Auto Lock delay time for 10 seconds in my app settings. Configuring and registering my fingerprint was very quick and easy via step-by-step directions in the app. Make sure that your finger and the lock’s fingerprint scanner are free of dirt. I have not configured my Fob Cards yet.Overall, I’m impressed with the sleek, clean and simple design of the exterior and interior components. The lock looks awesome with my Codel Fiberglass Door. The deadbolt latch operates smoothly and is fairly quiet in its operation. I wish this lock integrated with my Alexa devices. Highly recommend given its price to value and quality. A great value for the price.
