Good priduct
Disappointed in this. The interior is a hard nonabsorbent foam material. All it has to hold water/soap is a very thin outer cover. Also, the foam part slides was too easily up and down resulting in it coming off when in use. I wasn’t disappointed enough to send it back, but I’m writing this review because I’m looking for something better.Update: I was too quick to pan this item. After continued use I realized a few things:1. The foam interior CAN’T be softer, or more absorbent, or it would be like trying to get into hard to reach places with a wet noodle and that would not work.2. The outer material can’t be too thick/absorbent, or the same trouble getting into hard to reach places would still be an issue.Based on this realization, I now rate this product as 5 stars.

Adaptive independence for those with disabilities
My adult son has Autism and the many sensory issues come with it. He has a hard time washing his bum. This tool provides him greater independance and the abilty to reach the hard to get to places without having to use his hands.

PASS ON THIS ONE
Of all the times for me to have not read the comments, I chose this item to do that. Yes, the handle is made of plastic and is good and sturdy. It’s also has rubber around the handle so it’s slip proof. But the mesh covering isn’t thick at all. It’s so thin you can see right through it. It barely makes it as a scrubbing sponge. It’s more like if I were to put a thin wash towel over a stick and used that. The only thing right about the mesh covering is that is does have a drawstring to help keep it from sliding off the wand. Otherwise it fits very loosely and doesn’t stay in place. They’d did better to add a fitted sponge underneath the mesh covering so it has something to grip, then the covering could act as a scrubber. Don’t bother wasting your money on this one.

Hiya,Last year my back went into spasm and stayed that way. I discovered that thing where you wipe your butt after visiting the toilet was no longer a given. I could do it but it only made my back spasm more.If you think that’s nothing — I was in great pain each and every time I did this, got in and and out bed, in and out of chairs — you SOON BECOME VERY DESPERATE FOR ANY HELP.This product provided it in the shower. I was able to clean myself without causing more back pain. Believe it or not JUST THAT started to help my back recover. I’m absolutely fine now but it took 2 months.So WHY did I give this product only 3 stars? The handle broke after 4 months, one month out of warranty. I’ve never had a handle on ANYTHING break the way this did. It’s so weird. It’s like the blue part is empty somehow. I can’t explain it but it renders the product kinda useless.My problem is there’s nothing otherwise to replace it with. The sponge part is PERFECT for those more… gentle regions… and I’ve never had to remove the cloth cover. The shower water rinses everything off. Maybe with a little help from a hand but you’re in the shower so then wash your hand.My only solution is maybe taping the handle ‘firmer’ or taping the sponge to a stick. What’s really needed is a 2.0 version of this product. One with an actual handle.

Great washing tool for anyone with arthritis.
This is perfect for anyone with arthritis who can’t reach behind their backs. Sponge comes off easily for cleaning. Definitely worth the money.

THE WIFE SAYS…. A BIG NO !
This is NOT soft, the wife says if she wanted to play water polo she would have bought the correct club.. as it is, this is hard, there is nothing soft about it and she says its not going anywhere near her nether parts. Cant send it back because its been opened, JUST BE WARNED, THIS CANNOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR A LADIES SOFT PARTS.. she says.. unless your a glutton for punishment, we bought a nice sponge on a curved handle instead. she only gave it two stars for ease of use because its great for hooking the shampoo off the top shelf and whacking the soap across the bath tub trying for a hole in one on the soap caddy.

Adding soap and it suds up nicely with a few squeeze’sSuffering from RA and AS it makes it very difficult to be simply flexible enough to wash effectively in the shower.
