GREAT for when you need better upper body accessibility
As both an Occupational Therapy professional and as someone who just had shoulder surgery I can say without a doubt these shirts are PERFECT for any patient who has had any surgery/injury above the waist who may be struggling with independent don/doffing shirts. People who need to have quick surgical port/-ostomy access, get around bulky surgical dressings, casts, need access to perform scar massages regularly, or who apply topical medications but do not want to have to fully un/dress above the waist to do so. Each of the magnets are strong enough that you should not have to worry about them unclasping while moving about during your day. Unless someone else intentionally grabs your shirt hard and decides you need to perform a quick strip tease show that is. The shirt does fully SEPERATE into a front half and back half to the garment. The fabric is thicker (but still soft to the touch) than most shirts so you don’t have to worry about anything showing through either, even when damp.TIPS: 1) Size up if any of your body measurements fall on the line between two sizes & you fear that the magnets will unclasp while wearing. It definitely has a more boxy masculine cut & see pattern and is fairly long in the torso on some bodies if that helps with size selection. 2) Wash in cool water and hang or lay flat to air dry to avoid shrinkage otherwise magnets might unclasp with too much tension. 3) fabric does not fade and dye does not bleed on first wash. 4) definitely clasp all magnets and put garment in laundry bag before washing otherwise the magnets connect to the inside of the washing machine drum. 😂 5) Each magnet is also encapsulated inside of its own sturdy translucent mailable plastic pocket so you won’t have to worry about rust or losing a magnet either.

Great Alternative to Difficult Snaps!
I recently had surgery to remove an 8-year-old total shoulder replacement due to infection that disintegrated the poly ball part and caused massive bone loss. With nothing but an antibiotic spacer in there now, I’ll get my new replacement in a couple months. In the meantime I’m in a super stable sling full time.I tried multiple snap-down shirts just prior to surgery #1, but could not tolerate the pressure it required to snap them. Thank goodness I found these (I ordered more)! I can easily fasten and unfasten the magnets with absolutely no pressure to my shoulder. The material is quite comfortable. The fit allows for creative fastening over a sling.Just one little glitch you should be cognizant of… You might want to avoid metal chairs because, well, MAGNETS! I discovered this at a family cookout when my chair nearly pulled the shirt off when I stood up. Fortunately, my son-in-law feed what was about to happen before I stood all the way up!

After should surgery these were a lifesaver!!! Highly recommend them for anyone having this type of surgery. Many people are hospital asked where I had gotten them and I was happy to tell them!

Easy shoulder exposure
I went to my first week Dr. appt after an extensive rotator cuff surgery. We took off the brace, and my Dr. says “Hey, you’re wearing one of those rotator cuff surgery shirts!” He proceeds to undo the shoulder part and was amazed that they’re tiny magnets and how well they worked! It was easy for me to take on and off and the Dr. was impressed with the ease of use and how easy it made the visit. Yes, they’re a little pricy, but definitely worth the ease of your Dr and PT visits.
