Excellent magnifying reader!!!
Received LED Page Magnifier today. Way earlier than expected which was great bc bought for my 82 yr old mother-n-law who was leaving in a few days.She was trying to read a book w/ reg print while sitting outside (bc the light was better for her) when it came in the mail so she was anxious to use it right away!She has medical issues that cause dizziness 24/7 & sometimes headaches. When dizziness is really bothering her (which is most the time) it affects her eyesight as does trying to read small print especially in dim light. So soon as I cud get batteries in the magnifier (which was easy peezy), she was using it and didn’t put it down for long time. Even if she did start out holding it upside down & sideways but whatever works! Lol. But later, when indoors, I saw she was holding it by the handle w/ 1 hand & lights on! Said she absolutely loved it, the lights and loved the way it made it look like the large print books she reads & was so thankful to have it!!Was afraid it might be too heavy for her to hold for very long but we were pleasantly surprised how light it was and she had no problem w/ it.Later in the evening she was using it inside the house & loved having the dimmable LED lights!!! Was able to read a long time! Whoever wrote the review saying lights were worthless must have been a competitor, didn’t know how to turn it up or had a defective unit bc they’re great!!! Goes from dim to super bright!!!Also loved having the little pocket size magnifier for her purse to read labels at home or store! Nice little magnifier!And yes, for those that had trouble w/ the battery compartment, it is snug, probably cause it’s new but a whole lot better than being loose like some compartments are!! Just pull in direction shown best u can and when get just a crack at the back, u can just use a fingernail or knife to push out on one side then the other & it’ll slip right off!! No prob!!Thank you for such a good solid lightweight product!! Highly recommend!! 5 stars ⭐️’s!!

A real success
This is terrific! I bought 2 (one for me and one as a gift for a 98yr old woman with macular degeneration). I’m not sure how she’s finding it, but I’m really liking it a lot. I bought the one for me for the ever decreasing size of text (and hard to read fonts) in textbooks. This makes reading a LOT easier. I don’t have to hold a giant book a few inches from my face which really hurts my wrists and makes it very hard to highlight. Now I can leave the book on the table/couch and read it. I also only was able to read during the day when the daylight was so bright it caused further problems for me (could only read a few minutes at a time with the high contrast), but now, with the lights on this (which are really too bright for me when up very much), I can read even at night with the dimmer switch down (not on all the way). I am going to look for some colored tape to put over the lights on this to make it shine in a color to make it even easier for me, but the size of the frame the lights are in makes that easy to do. The one cons I’ve found about this are that it’s tough to read a page that’s at an angle (think textbook only part way in so the right side is higher than the left (or at the end of the book when it’s the opposite), and that I wish the weight of it could be balanced a little better. It’s nice and lightweight, but the weight of the side you’re not holding onto pulls a bit at my bad wrists (tendonitis and carpal tunnel) so I have to put it down fairly often to rest my wrist. I can’t imagine how much heavier ones would hurt (at least this is lightweight enough I can use it and get a lot more reading done). It does also take a bit of practice to highlight a textbook while using this to see the miniscule print. But that’s just a matter of practice. So much better than traditional round, unlit, magnifying glasses! This’ll make a HUGE difference for me with my college work.

Good magnification
Bought this for my 92 year old mother. It works great in magnifying, but I was disappointed to see a 2 inch scratch across the glass on the top. I am leaving to go back home today, so I will just let her keep it as it is, but if I lived here would have returned it for a new one. It was very nice that they included a small hand held pocket magnifier too. I might take that one home with me. Would buy again.
