Great product!
My husband and I are both older and have mobility problems. He falls a lot. I don’t fall as often but once either of us are on the floor we need help. It’s rather difficult to slide up onto it if you’re on carpet so I’ve ordered the extension slide and hope that it makes that easier. Once you’re on the chair you’re all set and up in seconds. Only once have I needed to call the fire department for help one time since we got it when he fell in a tight spot. Our daughters like it too. It’s saving their backs.

it doesn’t slide under a person behind welll or slide around well enough once they
I don’t seem to have as much ease at moving my father around if he sits on this when he is on the floor after a fall. The item was purchased to use along with a chair that can lift a person up from the floor in a sitting position…I would say that I could try to put some furniture moving disks on the side that faces the floor and then try moving my father if he was sitting up on the floor. I also did not have much success moving my mother by trying to shove this under her while she was sitting in bed. IT JUST DOES NOT SLIP UNDER A PERSON THAT WAY SP DONT THINK THAT IT DOES YOU HAVE TO SIT THEM ON TOP OF IT OR LIFT THEM UP AND PUT IT UNDER THEM.

Better For Sliding Than Transferring
This is a decent transfer board if everything lines up, literally. I have a hard plastic transfer board that I feel much more comfortable using to transfer my Grandma. She’s about 160 pounds and I could see that this board was sagging slightly down the center when I tried to transfer her from her wheelchair to her bed. I lowered her bed and got everything as even and close as possible. She has dementia so she can’t take directions from me or help herself balance. I did find this to be very helpful for sliding her up or down or from side to side while already in bed. I have to pull her back up to her pillows a couple of times before she falls asleep and this is much easier on both of us. I also use this to rotate her in her bed when she needs to be changed. When she’s sitting up on the couch or in the car this makes it much easier to slide her to where she needs to be. The weight limit for this transfer board is only 176 pounds and my Grandma is close to the max weight so I’ll continue to use the hard plastic transfer board that I already have to transfer her and I’ll be using this to help slide her. It does take a lot of strain off my back and shoulders and makes moving her much easier. It’s easy to clean and store and is useful if you’re a caregiver.

The outer layer slides easily around the inner core, allowing the patient to move easily also.
Maidesite Transfer Board, Car Transfer Aid Easy Slide Sheet, Waterproof Positioning Patient Transfer Device, Tubular Slider Sheets for Lift Chair, Car, BedFirst impressions: Nice transfer board for patients 175 pounds in weight or less. The outer layer slides easily around the inner core, allowing the patient to move without much effort. Gliding along rather than lifting and reducing the possibility of falls or injury. Not 36 inches square, maybe half that. The wording says 36 inches but the photos show 18 inches. Definitely the pictured size.Installation/setup: Place under your patient and allow the outer layer to glide over the inner core carrying your patient along with little effort.Final thoughts: I like this, it works really well for lighter patients. The heavier the patient, the less efficient it is. The outer sliding layer is easy to slip around the core. It’s a bit small and it’s not recommended to try moving from a big difference in height in case of slippage and falls. It seems well made and pretty sturdy. It should last a while if taken care of. I like this and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star – I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars – I don’t recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars – It’s passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars – Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars – Product that I totally recommend.

Slide board
It didn’t work as well as I had hoped. It didn’t seem very sturdy and I didn’t feel comfortable using it.

Conflicting info on listing
Before purchasing, double check to make sure they fix this listing to receive 36x36inch board. Otherwise, you will get the smaller board (18x18in) (see images):I thought the board should’ve been bigger than what I got so I double checked the listing details. The listing shows conflicting details, on the main item details/summary underneath the price, shows the board as 36″ x 36″ and further below, there are graphics saying it can be used for bariatric use. However, I did not receive 36x36in, instead the board I received was 18x18in, half the size. So I scrolled further down and found the smaller “Product Detail” area that shows 18x18in. Upon further inspection, the image gallery shows 18x17in and limit of 176 lbs.I’ve been noticing more Amazon Sellers are doing bait and switch listings and hiding true details in the space below; this is hard to catch when Amazon itself has a bunch of ‘recommendation listings’ in between.Aside from the conflicting details of this listing, the board is easy to clean and I’ll give it 3.5/5 stars for durability because it’s just a plastic square with thin padding. It’s not that heavy but also not too light. The cover comes off easily for cleaning.Since I received the smaller board, it’s for someone less than 176lbs. I was expecting the larger board so that it gives them more space to move and shift (they don’t like limited space).Lifting is faster but it usually hurts them or it’s uncomfortable. Using this board allows them to take their time, have some independence, and move with caution. Since it’s thin, it is easy to store behind the bedpost.Keep in mind, if there is a big gap or wide angle, it will probably break the board during transfer so make sure both surfaces are leveled. A small gap or angle should be okay.
