Love the information organization and presentation.
I’m learning things from this book very slowly. There’s lots of information for me learn, and t his organized in a way for me to find the information I need quickly or to just sit and read and learn more about about hearing loss when I am ready to sit down for a while and just read. Great for Beginner
Very informative for someone looking for information on Hearing and Balance. But a little light on what is being done on therapies for balance and new information on disease/treatment where the sensors (hair like sensors in the ear) are affected. It will cause deafness as they are lost or lose ability to sense frequencies.

I’m an RN and currently reading this book. Severe hearing loss runs in my family and my spouse is having moderate hearing difficulties. I found many people don’t want to use hearing aids for appearance, cost, fear of unknown, feeling it won’t help. This book addresses these and many more questions and issues. But surprisingly to me, there are many things to learn about hearing changes and effects and how to work with them that I knew NOTHING about including how to find a HELPFUL Dr & hearing specialist! Well worth the $. This will help take the fear and uncertainty out of learning about/getting hearing aids.

Extremely informative and useful book
I have been extremely impressed by this book. It contains valuable information written in a very coherent manner. It also has a lot of informative illustrations. I need to get hearing aids, and now I know what to look for and ask for during an audiology exam. I feel I can also now make a very informed choice as to what type of hearing aid I want. And, as a bonus to me, the sections on balance is as good as the sections on hearing.I feel that reading this book is much more informative than even a visit to my doctor!
