Ok, but I’m not a fan
I found two videos of chefs who discuss the proper way to cook ground beef. First is to cook it thoroughly. Meaning don’t just brown it, but rather cook it until all the water is evaporated and the bits of ground beef begin to char. This prevents just simply boiling the beef and leaving it flavorless. Both chefs used a meat chopper to grind up the ground beef in the fry pan and redistribute it around the pan and mix with onions and garlic. My first purchase is on the right and this current chopper is on the left. Mine is a straight blade (4) with a silicone scraper (red). This one has 5 curved plastic blades. I thought that the 5-blade model would be better at chopping the ground beef and better at redistributing since the blades are curved. Not so much for me. My old one works better in my hands. However, my wife really likes this new one better, so I can’t completely knock it since it seems to be a very personal choice in a cook’s hands. Both choppers need to be washed by hand as the dishwasher failed to remove all traces of ground beef. Easy to clean though with a bit of soap on a course sponge. If this product appeals to you, I’d say give it a try since the price is good.

Loved it until it broke
I loved this item until it broke. First the stopper on the bottom of the handle fell out (not a big deal, can be glued back in). But then when the top broke off the handle there really was not fixing it. Before it broke, I liked using it for cooking ground beef and sausage.

Efficient, versatile, nice design
This ground meat chopper instead of four has five wide beveled pinwheel blades. It makes chopping and crumbling meat easier and speeds up cooking. The description says it’s made of polycarbonate, but in the longer description under “about this item,” it says it’s made from solid nylon.I was hoping for nylon since it’s softer, lighter and more resistant to wear and tear. However, it turns out to be polycarbonate, which is not that bad since it’s stronger and more durable.I really like the design. The handle is the perfect size but the cap on it tends to fall off easily.The five angled blades are a great feature and make everything easier, even though it’s not as easy to clean as I had hoped, despite being non-stick.I appreciate its versatility, as I can use it to chop, mix, mash, or smash various ingredients. The angled blades make it especially efficient.Overall it’s a decent meat chopper

Not as nice as similar tools
These kind of tools are game-changers when cooking chopped hamburger meat, but this one did not meet my expectations. The plastic feels cheap…the tip of the tool fell off when I was washing prior to using the first time. I ended up purchasing a different brand at the store.

I use it all the time
I waited far too long to get myself one of these.This one functions perfectly. It makes short work of getting ground meat into fine little pieces. I’ve also used it to mash berries and tomatoes for sauces – perfect for that, as well. I’ve had no issues with it scratching my nonstick Ninja pans, and it washes well in the dishwasher.Definitely recommend.
