Accurate and convenient pulse oximeter
This Med-Pat PX-1 pulse oximeter is an easy to use device that delivers accurate readings of both oxygen saturation and pulse rate. The fingertip design ensures ease of use, while its portability makes it perfect for home use, travel, etc. The instructions are easy to follow, and a strap, hard shell case and batteries are included.

Heart Rate
I received a PXC-1 Children’s Oximeter. Runs on 2 AAA batteries which were included. Its has a bright yellow color along with a little face graphic, definitely for children. Comparing it with a commercial Oximeter, the readings for Perfusion Index (PI)were low. If a device isn’t used correctly, accuracy & reliability can suffer. The problem here is a child’s medical device has a smaller silicone insert for a smaller finger. The workaround for an adult would be to use the pinky finger for a better reading of actual pulse strength. The oximeter has a large, high-definition color OLED display. The OLED display while ok, in subdued lighting, looks washed out, outside or in clinical lighting. Oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate readings are available in about 8 seconds and then update continually. The unit resets with a ‘finger out’ display if removed, and will power off, automatically to conserve battery life. Besides batteries, the unit comes with a manual, lanyard, and protective storage case. While marketed as a medical device the instruction manual and box are labeled “NON-MEDICAL USE, FOR SPORTS OR AVIATION USE.”

Great to know if you’re needing medical attention!
Keeping this handy as COVID is still around and one of the effects can oxygen depletion and it’s good to know if a hospital visit becomes necessary! Sometimes once you feel the effects of oxygen depletion it can be too late!

Wrong size
I thought i was getting an adult-sized oximiter, but it was a pediatric. The labeling was misleading. It works for me on my pinky, but i ordered a different one in an adult size for accuracy. Considering i have a house full of kids and see pediatric patients in-home on occasion, it will come in handy, but it it was not what I thought I ordered. The quality is good and it works appropriately. I have tested it on all of my kids, ages 2-12 and it works well on all of them. The display is nicer than some others I have used and it reads fairly quickly. I have no issues with the quality or functionality of the product at all. Just the fat that it was a pediatric size when I thought I ordered adult.

Received CHILD’s model instead of ADULT model
The Med Pat pulse oximeter unit I ordered was shown as a blue and white adult model on the product page. What I received was a yellow child unit with stickers to make it resemble a duck for kids. It does have a lanyard to attach to it and a nice zipper case.A child model usually has a smaller curved pad inside where the finger is placed to be tested, so if the person has a larger finger, as an adult would have, it might not make enough contact on the curved area, possibly causing an incorrect reading.Even though it isn’t an adult one that I ordered, and despite the area where a finger is placed for a O2 saturation and pulse reading was meant for a child’s sized finger, I tried it out anyway. The unit came with batteries, so it was ready to go. I pushed the button to turn it on and placed my pointer finger inside. The results appeared quickly and the reading was clearly visible and it appeared to be accurate for what I would expect my blood oxygen and pulse to be. Fortunately, my finger made enough contact on the area to be tested.I’m not sure if the child’s model is comparable to what I would’ve gotten if I received the adult one, so I can’t comment on that. Overall, the current price listed with a coupon discount on the ADULT model’s product page, would’ve been reasonable, if it was the same quality of the CHILD’S one that I received.

Feature-Packed Pulse Oximeter with Clear Display & Fast Readings!
I’ve been searching for a reliable pulse oximeter, and when I saw that this one included a few extra features, I decided to give it a try. It arrived quickly and came with everything needed to get started—a zippered protective pouch, a lanyard, and even the required batteries.Interestingly, the unit I received was a children’s version, which is yellow and has a smilie face on the end that faces the user. While I didn’t see this option available when ordering, it still functions exactly as expected and includes all the same features as the standard blue version shown in the listing.Accurate & Fast ReadingsI compared it to another oximeter I own, and this one delivers precise readings for oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate in under 10 seconds. Additionally, it measures perfusion index (PI), which assesses pulse strength, a feature I haven’t seen on many other oximeters. It’s a helpful addition, and the reading is displayed without cluttering the screen.High-Quality DisplayThe OLED display is bright, crisp, and large enough for easy reading, even for older eyes. Unlike some models that are difficult to see in bright light, this one remains clear even in direct sunlight. All in all this is a well-rounded, feature-rich pulse oximeter at a reasonable price. The inclusion of a carrying pouch, lanyard, and batteries adds extra value. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use device with bonus features like the perfusion index, this is an excellent choice!

Works as expected
This spO2 monitor works exactly as expected. It’s great that the batteries are included so you don’t have to run to the store or panicky search the house for some when you need it. The measurements are as good as any other monitor used at the clinic and fits little fingers.
