LOUD
This thing is panic inducingly loud, considerably louder than a typical smoke alarm. It might work for your purposes but it was too much for mine. If it had a volume control, which it does not, it’d be perfect.

Extremely Loud (Ear Piercing)
I bought 2 of these several years ago for my elderly mother. I never used them because I was afraid she might injure herself trying to get away from the ear piercing sound. She required a walker to get around.When I tested one it was so loud I had a headache for 2 hours.I use them now on equipment that someone might try to steal.
