Tough to tender.
This actually works as stated. It will tenderize tougher cuts of meat, and it tends to thin it out so it cooks quicker. Quite sturdy and easy to clean. Liquid marinades would soak in faster. I mainly use rubs, so not sure it makes much difference there.

I was looking for a way to tenderize some tougher cuts like sirloin tip for instance, to use to make homemade chicken-fried country steaks at an affordable price. This tool is perfect! Fairly easy to clean and works well.

My only regret is that I didn’t buy this a long time ago. I’ve used this several times to tenderize steaks and I also marinated them for a few hours. Then barbecued. The steaks were very tender and tasted wonderfully. It may seem strange to make many holes in meat or chicken but it works. I have no regrets.

This tenderizer is the best one in it’s class. I have used others that are not sharp enough and require hard pressure or banging to pierce meat. This one penetrates the meat with ease and is very easy to clean.

simple & works well
Have used only once so far, on a boneless chicken breast. Stuck breast across entire width then rotated breast stuck it all again and repeated that process once more. Turned breast over used same procedure. Cooked breast on counter top griller, so tender cut easily with just a fork. Cleaning is easy, remove bottom portion and soak in hot soapy water, such as in a plastic food storage container. Then rinse with sink sprayer if you have one. Being older only 2 of us so only run dishwasher maybe twice a week, I would put tool into dishwasher when time to run washer for a very thorough cleaning.The handle part may hold some residue water, just fold a few paper towels, and position handle with blades pointing down to allow water to drain.Addendum to original review. Tool did compress chicken breast about 1/2 thickness of original breast. Didn’t mind. Next usage on 1″ thick strip steak. Didn’t want steak compressed so I decided the bottom bar was the problem. Removed bar, then took apart handle, 3 screws, and removed both side spacers, held in handle by springs, just snapped right out. Reassembled handle so only had handle and blades. Stuck both sides of steak many times. Compressed steak about 40% of original thickness , unlike as advertised on original company brochure that stated no meat distortion. Have no complaints about tenderness of steak, as tender as a filet mignon, could cut it with a butter knife.

Brilliant! This works on all sorts of meats without distortion and no change in texture (other than amazingly tender). You wouldn’t know that the meat has been tenderized.
