Cheap but very inaccurate
If you need a cheap way to poke yourself, this is a good product. If you need an accurate blood sugar reading because of a medical issue, do not buy this monitor. Yesterday morning, I checked my fasting blood sugar and it was 97. That’s higher than normal for me so I rechecked 5 min later and it was 91. This morning, my first fasting sugar said it was 101, obviously much higher than I was expecting. So I took it again within a couple minutes and it was 89. I have no way of knowing which of these readings is accurate but this monitor is probably causing me unnecessary worry now, so I’ll have to buy something else.
