NEWGO Shoulder Ice Pack Wrap, Ice…OK -I’ve recently had rotator cuff repair surgery, and the [NewGo Shoulder ice / heat pack wrap has been a lifesaver in my recovery process. This ice pack is extremely effective at providing relief and reducing inflammation. great ice pack- sticky
great durability and cold duration. however the first time i’ve used it, it came out of the freezer a little sticky? It came with a ziploc bag to cover it while in the freezer, i had used that and did not notice anything spill on it. I have not yet noticed any leaks, but trying to wipe it down still does not get rid of the stickiness!

A Godsend ice pack for frozen shoulder
Shoulder is a hard to ice organ. Frozen shoulder lasts free months and needs to be iced consistently. This is a perfect fitting ice pack even for a petite woman like me. It snuggly attaches to the shoulder and delivers even cold temp without overly freezing the skin. You don’t need to worry about positioning and holding it in place. I’m fact you can continue working while wearing this.

Does not stay on your shoulder very well
I like that it covers a wide area. The entire wrap is a gel pack, but the surface is too slick and there is insufficient friction against my shirt to help hold it in place. As a result, it slides down. It could be better engineered to stay in place. I have to tuck the strap under my rib to create sufficient tension to prevent the shoulder slide, which works if you can find your ribs, but for those who are bit more zaftig, this would not work. Also, because it is designed to mold to a curved surface, the gel pack does not get as cold as one that can be rigid and stuffs into a pocket in a stretchy material that you wrap around your shoulder. So it gets better cold coverage, but does not stay cold for as long as I would like.

hard to adjust and doesn’t stay cold
I really wanted to like this product, but it only stays cold for about 10 minutes. My Doctor suggested 15-20 minutes of cold therapy 2-3x/day, do this didn’t work for me. It was also very big on my bicep. I am an average sized woman, and it just wasn’t tight enough. The biggest con for me was the way it attached. If you have any should problem (which I assume you do if you are buying this) then it is very hard to adjust with the velcro. You need 2 good arms, not just one. The velcro is very tight and hard to line up perfectly, therefore, it rubbed against my skin. I did return this item, and did a little more research and found one that worked great for me. Just do your research. The idea is good, it just needs some tweaking

I have chronic neck pain, and start and end most days with ice on my neck. This pack holds its temperature, staying cold for far linger than gel ice packs. The clay filling is nicely moldable to your body shape, and creates a comforting weight. The black vinyl material is also nice, not crinkly and loud like the cheap plastic gel packs from the pharmacy. I liked it so much that I bought more to include in Christmas gifts for family and friends!
