This garlic press is a beast.
If I could give this garlic press ten stars I absolutely would! It is wonderful and a joy to press garlic with!! Can you tell I’m excited?? Because it 1000% excited me when I finally found a solid stainless steel garlic press that was dishwasher safe, if I so desired. The fact that it comes apart AND has a little built in garlic scraper on the handle is the icing on the top! AND it’s not required to peel it first?! GET OUTTA HERE!!!! I didn’t realize you didn’t have to peel it first when I first bought it but then happened to see some reviews saying you didn’t have to. So I tested it out and holy moly you really don’t have to peel it first!!! I didn’t peel it the one test time (all cloves were unpeeled), but I prefer to always peel my garlic, so I went back to always peeling it. But it 100% is absolutely not required! My mom, a very petite lady with small hands, also tried it one day when she was fixing some food and she said it is *much* easier to grip than all the straight handled presses out there.I love that this press comes apart so it’s easy to get all the garlic cleaned off and as I said before extra handy that it’s got its own built in scraper! I got the set so both the large and small hole parts. I definitely use the larger press more than the smaller press but I have used the small one a few times.Yes, it’s more expensive but this baby will literally last you generations! It’s very well made and solid. I usually always hand wash it, but I’ve put it through the dishwasher a couple times and it’s been just fine.I promise you won’t regret buying this baby!

Fantastic!
Fantastic product. Crushes garlic with paper skin still on. You will have you use some muscles, but in my opinion, its worth the money as it is comfortable, works well and is easy to clean.

The BEST garlic press on the market
Without a doubt the best garlic press on the market. I’ve used a bunch of different types and brands and for the most part, they all function the same. However, the design of this press is next level. Having two separate pieces that come together super easy and act as the joint is amazing. It took maybe one or two uses to get used to inserting the top section into the bottom but it’s still very easy to use even during that learning process. Being able to separate the two parts with no effort makes inserting garlic and cleaning the device SO EASY. Cleaning garlic presses has always been a pain to do and if you stick them in the dishwasher, even stainless ones start to have issues with the joint. There’s no joint here and since the two parts separate, it’s easy to access the press area. Not to mention, the top part is designed to be used to scrape the garlic off the bottom when it doesn’t shoot out all the way AND it fits perfectly in the pressing bed so it scraping out the skins is fast and easy. Now I use the top handle instead of a paring knife or my fingers. The handles are well shaped and sturdy. The handles separating doesn’t cause any problem whatsoever with use. I will never buy another garlic press and have recommended it to all my friends who enjoy cooking.Look no further. This is the perfect garlic press.

Great but still have to clean
Great, and can actually press whole garlic with skin which id a big time saver even if you use 85% of the garlic instead of 100%.The only downside is cleaning the little holes after. It should come with a cheap plastic mold of the press with little pins, so you just stick it through and it cleans it.

Better than expected
This review focuses on the “fine” mince model. As seen in the product description the Gourmet Easy Garlic Press is comprised of two separate parts. Let’s call them the press part and the “mince” part. Both parts of the garlic press I received appear to be cast, forged or machined from a solid piece of stainless steel. I may be wrong about that but if so, the manufacturer did a good job hiding any joints. In either case, this product is fit for use and looks great.I tested the metal with a magnet which barely stuck. Because it only “sort of stuck” implies the metal is derived from a ferrous steel its magnetic attraction is weak because stainless steel is often alloyed with such things as chromium or nickel. The weak magnetic attraction confirmed to my opinion that it is indeed a stainless steel not aluminum or some kind of pot metal which has zero magnetic attraction. The parts have an excellent fit and high gloss finish. Really a beautiful product. But the real question is: Does it work? I tried it and the press did an excellent job squeezing peeled garlic cloves. I did not try to press un-peeled cloves so I cannot comment on that (at this time). I peeled the entire bulb at one sitting and have since learned that if peeled cloves are not used quickly they can be stored for several months in the fridge. The most frequently recommended way I researched is to cover the peeled cloves with wine vinegar in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. The vinegar preserves the cloves which makes the next use of the garlic press all the more simple and easy. Some people have remarked about difficulty squeezing the clove: I can squeeze one clove at a time with one hand … but it is easier to use both hands.Construction is simple yet elegant: The Press part of the handle has notches into which ears on the Mince piece are inserted (see photos). But neither piece has any joint or tight crevice that would allow squeezed elements of the clove to collect and clog. So being able to easily clean this item (completely) was one of the key reasons I was willing to pay more for this product. The fresh/peeled cloves I squeezed came through the mince part cleanly and were scraped off the bottom of the mince part directly into the recipe. There was a bit of the clove left behind inside the mince compartment but that was easily washed away with a hot water rinse and sent down the disposal unit. Nothing left over to smell up the place. The parts were then separated and rinsed with hot water again – this time with a brush, which did a surprisingly good job – there was almost no smell of garlic remaining anywhere on the press … even after a simple scrub and rinse with nothing more than hot water. That really surprised me.I then washed the item using dish soap and a brush in the mince compartment … this ensured (to my personal satisfaction) that all the holes in the mince compartment were cleared of any squeezed residue. I dried it off by hand and put it away into my gadget drawer. Conclusion: Aside from its top notch functional capability, its fabulous good looks, and the FDA Certified Food Grade Stainless Steel material … plus … a 5 year replacement policy, the features collectively make this item well worth its cost … in my opinion. Highly Recommended.

Spero durerà a lungo

Stainless Steel Garlic Press – Combo for Fine and Course Mince – by GOURMET EASYNOVEMBER 2023This may be longer than many reviews. If you are genuinely interested in this product, please take the time to read this and indicate if you felt it was helpful.MY STORY:As a home chef and baker, I love spending time in the kitchen, which is the heart of my home. Therefore, I always look for tools, gadgets, and items to make my job easy and convenient. Since I also grow my garlic, a good, reliable garlic press is not just good to have; it is a necessity. When I came across this item, I knew I had to have it.Despite conducting this Review in a limited timeframe, my evaluation is from my experience using this product and detailing any positive or negative aspects unbiasedly. This product was first made available on Amazon Canada in May of 2022. I had requested this product in early November of 2023. This garlic press was designed with practicality and constant usage in mind, and its simplicity is outstanding. This is a lifetime investment. There are no moving or removable parts like buttons, hinges or screens. There is nothing even to break. There are just three hefty pieces of solid, moulded stainless steel.WHAT YOU GET:All the items are well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box for shipping. The total weight of the three stainless steel parts, without the packaging, is 384 g (13 5/8 oz). The top handle weighs in at 137 g (4 ¾ oz.), while the fine mince arm is 125 g ( 4 3/8 oz.), and the course mince arm is 123 g (4 ¼ oz.). All three pieces have ergonomically curved handles. The top handle is 19.7 cm (7 ¾ in.) long, 1.9 cm (¾ in.) wide and 4.3 cm (1 5/8 in.) high. Both the fine and coarse mince arms are 17.8 cm (7 in.) long, 3 cm (1 1/8 in.) wide and 3.2 cm (1 ¼ in.) high. This product has an unconditional 5-year warranty, apparently the only garlic mincer tool to do so.When a product comes with an unconditional 5-year warranty, the manufacturer or seller guarantees that the product will be free from any defects or damages for five years from the date of purchase. No matter what the cause of the problem is, whether it’s due to misuse, accident, or normal wear and tear, the manufacturer or seller will repair or replace the product at no extra cost to the customer. This type of warranty differs from a conditional warranty, which may have specific limitations or exclusions on the coverage.GETTING STARTED:Please take out the items from the box and carefully inspect them for any signs of damage. Notice how robust and heavy the pieces are. The top handle is interchangeable between both the fine and coarse arms. I would recommend washing the items before use. This product is also dishwasher safe. The manufacturer states that there is no need to peel off the skin of each garlic clove for the press to work. But there are two types of skins on each clove of garlic. The first is an outer ‘paper’ skin. You have to remove this paper skin or it will become lodged entirely against the holes in the press, preventing any pressed clove from coming out. Then there is an inner clear, almost invisible skin. That one is very difficult to remove, so just leave it on and put it in the press. Although 100% of the garlic clove is crushed, you will then have to remove the clear skin that is flattened against the inside of the press after each use with a knife before you can use the press again. This press is easy to clean once you have finished using it. However, just running the press under the tap to clean it will not ensure all of the garlic will be removed from the holes, especially in the fine mince arm. A small brush (I use a retired toothbrush) will make sure that the device is adequately cleaned. Alternatively, put the top handle and the mince arm in the dishwasher. No worries! This product works and works very well. I recommend you spend your money up front now and never worry about rebuying another garlic press. I also recommend purchasing the combo package with fine and coarse arms if you use garlic as much as I do. You will not regret it!I am delighted with this product. It was a good choice, and it would make an excellent item to give to someone as a gift.I am pleased to offer this Stainless Steel Garlic Press – Combo for Fine and Course Mince – a 5-star rating by GOURMET EASY.
