Customers say
Customers find the wheelchair to be solidly built, though some report issues with armrests falling apart. The chair is narrow enough to fit through tight spaces but receives mixed feedback about its maneuverability, with one customer noting it’s easy to move around in while another finds it difficult to get over humps. Customers appreciate that it’s light enough to hoist, though the brakes are hard to adjust.

Great basic wheelchair!
I’m just starting to use a wheelchair, and I wanted a really basic one to start with (I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a more specialized chair, just to find it difficult to use). This chair is awesome! It’s just my size and really easy to maneuver around furniture and all. It’s tricky going around the block though, because the chair wants to go in the direction of the tilt of the pavement. But that’s a great workout. *I’ve found cycling gloves to be indispensable in this instance! Saves my hands from blisters and abrasions!*It’s going to be a long time until I get a new wheelchair, I like this one so much! And the nurses at one doctor’s office like how agile this chair is to get around the exam rooms too.

Order with caution (and after substantial research).
It is challenging to order a wheelchair, sight unseen. In my community, options are limited in regards to wheelchair options. Like so many, we are at the mercy of the insurance company that runs the medical show; therefore, ordering online is required with the purchase of medical supplies. For this purchase, I checked out available chairs at local stores and learned which priorities were critical and started my online research. It is not as easy as one might think. Ideally, I would want to “build” a chair online and then see that chair before purchasing. Not only was that unavailable, but even finding a chair that met my requirements for basic functionality coupled with chair weight and sizing modification ability was a real challenge. I do not want to drone on about the process, but it led me to a point where I had limited choices. I took the bare minimum requirements (size and weight) and then read through hundreds of reviews. I chose this chair based on three factors: The weight of chair, the size (my only choice was width) and the size of chair collapsed for transport. My condition is one of constant degradation, so I slowly increased time in chair from occasional use to full-time use. The more time spent in chair provided the realization of the poor quality. I am 100 pounds below the stated weight maximum, yet within three months the fabric started tearing from the screws that hold it to the frame. The chair is very uncomfortable after a few minutes and miserable after an hour. The chair is not conducive to active, self-propulsion. This may be in part due to my height or my condition but since purchasing this chair a few months ago I have been in several other chairs that were far more comfortable. This is all fairly new to me, but it is very important. I have found the right chair, finally, but it took a compassionate wheelchair professional and a joint effort with manufacturer to get the right one. Comfort may be subjective, which is why I recommend caution when ordering this or any other wheelchair. Settle for nothing less than a chair that provides basic function and comfort and order from a source that provides support before and after the sale. It is too important to rely on a few reviews and the manufacturer selling points. This chair has been rarely and gently used. It does not do well on surfaces with any side-to-side grade whatsoever and struggles with even small cracks or floor imperfections. It is a light-duty, occasional-use, inside chair, at best. That may be perfectly fine for some, but the tearing of the fabric is unacceptable and packing/shipping it back in hopes that a repair would hold is not something I can do right now. The chair did have some decent reviews, so I am sure it works for some. It just did not for me and my review is based solely on my three months using it.

Hi quality. Not too heavy. Does the job with no worries.

Ultralight Wheelchair
I bought this chair for my 17 year old daughter. She felt great to be in a chair that fit her. (smaller than the oversized chairs you might find at a supermarket.) The weight of the wheelchair was important for me, because I have to lift it into the back of my car. This chair is plenty sturdy enough, yet light enough for me to hoist without hurting myself. It moves very smoothly, and has been perfect for my daughter. You will want to purchase a bag for the back, so you can store little purchases or your purse in the bag while you push. There is only one drawback, and it may or may not matter to you. The footrests are entirely and easily removable, which is great – but they can not be extended, to put the feet up. This is not an issue for us, so we are well pleased with this chair. By the way, when you see someone in a wheel chair – smile at them. You would be amazed by how happy it makes them.

Doesn’t work well to transfer if you’re a double amputee.

this chair is great
i ordered this chair for my husband, who needs a second spine surgery. we picked this one because of the 300lb weight limit instead of the normal 250. it is very sturdy and it was great that there was no assembly- ready to use out of the box.

Good, basic tool
Generally, the chair is adequate. Have to steer–it tends to drift left. The brakes are hard to handle, but I think they need adjusting and I haven’t yet found out how to do that. Generally satisfied with it. No fault of the chair that our doorways are too narrow to go through comfortably, or that it’s not easy to get over some humps when we are out and about. It’s a good, basic tool for where we are in life.

Difficult to set up Brakes
Don’t buy this if you want brakes! The factory has over-tightened the bolts that let you engage the brakes. They are so tight I was able to loosen them only because I happen to have a mechanics special tools and left over wrenches from a previous purchase.. It really is a nice chair, but if buy it you will have to spend an hour or two setting the brakes up. The one tool they send can’t reach the bolts you need to loosen, and anyway, you would need other tools to do the job.
