This product is a game changer for anyone who likes chestnuts! Just put the chestnut in the slot, squeeze and you have a perfect X on it, ready for roasting. So much easier than trying to score them with a knife!!!

My mother in law wants it!
Feel the metal is not thick when grab it. It is slightly sharp edges so it makes you nervous about it. but it is workable and great functionality ! So the result comes out very easy to peel off the skin by using this cross cut tool. So give 4 stars. But will buy another one for my mother in law who loves to have one too.

Not that sturdy
This item is a GREAT idea, its just not made all that well. I cant see it lasting very long. Hinges seem very flimsy. When you use it it flexes sideways very easy. Would love to see this item made sturdier. I would buy again if it was redesigned to be stronger.

Chestnut cutter works great!
The chestnut cutter works great!It is a lot easier and safer to “X-cut” the chestnuts with this device than trying to do in with a knife!It actually works better than I would have imagined.Helpful Hint: When cutting a chestnut, be sure to squeeze the handles all the way together so that the nut gets smashed some and fully cut. In the end, this will make getting the nut out much easier.

Nice material and style
So many years of cutting chestnuts and making a cross on them to bake and finally an amazing product. My mom loves this product. It is the best thing ever for chestnuts. I am so glad I ordered this and the quality is good and shipping was great. came in time as they promised. Thankyou

Not very durable. Worked great at first but disk that cracks bent and broke off after a few uses.
