Customers find the brace works well for drop foot and provides good support, helping them walk better. The brace offers good value for money and functions effectively. However, customers disagree on the fit, comfort, and sturdiness of the brace, with some reporting it’s too small and painful when walking. Foot Brace
This brace is well-made and sturdy. It should last indefinitely. The wearer says it is comfortable. and he can’t even tell he is wearing it. The brace slips into the shoe (remove the insert in the shoe, insert the brace, and place the insert over the brace back into the shoe). The part of the brace that goes up the leg goes under the pant legs, and no one can tell you’re wearing it. It helps with foot drop and helps to get the toe up to help prevent dragging or catching of the foot. It does help!

Selecting an AFO deeply depends upon your unique issues and activity.
Needs and desires vary hugely in AFO drop foot braces. You must evaluate your needs. This unit is light, thin and inexpensive. Many AFOs offered on Amazon provide more support and use more elaborate construction. Call this device “cheaply made” if you like. But it will slip into many types of shoes and provides moderate, somewhat flexible support. It disappears into a pant leg.Because this design permits some dorsiflexion, it may allow more normal walking and driving. It does for me, at 185 pounds. Stiffer devices may be designed to prevent all dorsiflexion. These can make it more difficult to achieve a normal walking gait or operate pedals for driving. However, a stiffer device may be needed for heavy persons, or those needing complete support for other reasons.

product does meet the requirements for foot drop
product is too weak, flexes and does accommodate the foot, need to make sturdier and a bit wider, difficult to put on and a struggle to take, velcro is very powerful- took almost 30 mins to take off. I suffered from a stroke with foot drop and this item does not meet the necessary specifications.I am sorry

    Velcro hook difficult to detach
Functional brace, fit well, performed well. Only drawback is the Velcro attachment. The fixed part is connected with a rivet, and without two hands, or even with two, is difficult to separate from the loop part.

    A great Choice
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This was recommended by my Physical Therapist. It works better than others I had tried.

    it’s okay
It’s lightweight. It fits my husband’s foot okay, the strap is long enough to wrap around the calf, but the whole thing is a bit awkward. It’s very slippery to walk on, so I don’t think it’s meant to be worn without shoes. I put it on my husband over his socks because the plastic foot part is uncomfortable. I was hoping he could wear it in the house as his foot needs support, but he can’t wear it without having shoes on. So, if you’re expecting to use it without shoes on, it ain’t gonna work.

    Tip for wearing
This foot brace does what it’s supposed to do. It should because for what it is it’s a bit pricey. $25 is about the maximum I expected to pay for this, but I brought it because it was right for me.Putting it on was another issue and here are my tips to make the process smoother since it’s a bit of a handful at first.1) Don’t try to put it on before putting your shoes on.2) Put the device into your shoe first, then slide your foot into the shoe.3) If your shoe is snug and there is a removable shoe liner, take the liner out while you’re using the device.4) Put the device on over a fine, lightweight pair of socks. Thick socks will cause congestion with the device and your foot will feel too bound up.The rest I think is self-evident.

    Good value for incremental improvement.
There’s probably a video out there showing how to put this gadget on/off. I should have watched it as I did a lot of cussing over 10-15 trying to get it on. Felt like it pinched my foot but it really didn’t By the third time I was donning it in 30 seconds. I’ve had it on for several hours as I write this and have to look down to see if it’s still there. I don’t notice it as I walk but neither do I drag my toes which can cause tripping. When I take them off I do notice as I’m more trip prone. I won’t be going one-on-one with Caitlin Clark anytime soon, but the incremental improvement is well worth the modest cost. Good call by my PT.

The shin cover has slid down the leg.
