Impressed update disappointed night vision failing
Update********12/03/23I’ve had this unit for little over a week and have recently been experiencing problems with the night vision no longer working or needing constant reset and pairing leading me to feel this product is unreliable. If you’re using this camera for night purposes it may be best to invest elsewhere.Purchased this camera on black Friday for 50$ and I have no regrets. The quality was better than expected it comes with a mouth if you wish to attach it to the wall and if your using for a play pen the bottom of the monitor is magnetic so it just attaches itself to it. I love how it tells if the temperature is appropriate or needs to be adjusted. To set up wasn’t difficult and fast the app it wants you to download walks you through

Beyond Pleased
Wonderful product and a great improvement from Owlet. This product is direct evidence that they have listened to consumer feedback. Only negative I have is not actually about this product. Our Owlet Cam 2 failed after only 18 months. I was hesitant to purchase another Owlet camera and was going to replace it with other brand, but they came out with this Dream Sight camera in the nick of time. Much better price point for a superior product. Hard to beat that. Picture quality is wonderful, audio quality is almost too good, and my favorite part: the setup using Bluetooth instead of that horrible QR code system. It was smooth and quick and made me very happy. I’d had it with the Cam 2, but Owlet has done well here.

Some qualms – good overall
This camera is overall pretty great & gives me the best piece of mind. The only downfall is the requirement for wifi connectivity, so when our power has gone out I have had to pull out a different monitor.I sometimes have issues with the sensitivity of the noise & cry detection levels, as it is super sensitive and there’s not the best range of sensitivity selection.Same with temperature alerts. It goes from 70-75 for the high. I wish I could select 72

Great , I love it still use it to this day my daughter is almost 2 I’ve had it since she was born . Date night is a breeze when I can check on her with out giving my parents a idea that I dont trust them even tho I do.

Overpriced junk with clever marketing and negative review suppression on Amazon
My husband and I were excited about this product. However it is not reliable and cannot be trusted to keep an eye on your baby. Marketing it as such is dangerous and unethical.Pros:- Nightvision is excellent- Video quality is goodCons:- The app constantly freezes while you are observing your baby. You will think you are keeping an eye on your baby, but you’d be wrong.- The app constantly needs to be force closed and reopened to establish a connection to the camera- The camera constantly disconnects from wifi (not an issue with any other device in our home)- The camera needs to be occasionally reset and repaired- You can only use one login to view the feed. That means if you want your babysitter or whomever to be able to use the app, you have to share your login with them.- The app constantly displays a “Cam update available” that does nothing.- Very expensive for a wifi camera- Notifications only work when the app is already open, rendering it useless- Does not come with a mount that you can use on a crib, you’ll have to buy this separately.We feel like suckers for buying this product. My husband attempted to review on amazon and was not allowed because he was not a verified purchaser. I wonder how many more people who put this on their registry that are unhappy with this are unable to leave a review. Gigantic waste of money, on an unreliable piece of junk. Our Gen 1 google nest cam that was 1/2 of the price 8 years ago, works much better, is reliable, and has all the functionality missing from the Owlet. You also get video history with the nest and you don’t with the Owlet. Do not buy this, you will regret it.

Love this camera!
I love that the monitor is your phone, so easy to use, and one less thing to carry around and remember to charge! The app is very useful, and I love that you can turn the sound on in the background, so that you can use your phone for other things while still listening for baby. You can even make and receive phone calls, and hear baby, which is very reassuring. Installation was easy, and came with all that was needed. The night vision in the camera is perfect, and I love that you can zoom in if needed! Great value for the price!

I absolutely love using the owl sock, and adding this camera to it was just the cherry on top. It is so convenient to be able to look on my phone and check the baby and see their heart rate and oxygen levels right on the screen. It actually does pick up the cry detection as well, because I check the videos from the night prior, and there will be saved clips with the baby crying and me grabbing her. The video and audio are both clear as well. The price point is perfect too! I did initially have some issues setting it up, but the button on the back to reset it was really helpful. I held that, waited for the chime, and then it blinked, red and blue, which means that it is in pairing mode. I had to do that a few times before it worked, but besides that there’s been no issues!

Worth it if you can get it on sale? Quality of the image and sound is nice with maybe a 1s delay. It comes in a nice packaging with everything you need to secure it and the cord to a wall. The major draw back is the cam sporadically goes offline and I have to factory reset it to get it to sync again. Idk if the cam is resetting after updates and doing that? It’s def annoying and if you only notice you have to sync again after putting baby down welp… guess you have no cam for the night.

I wanted to love this camera so badly since I also have the owlet sock. Unfortunately the video quality was not great, and tho my wifi router was just in the next room, I encountered wifi connection errors often, which led to video lag. I do love that it connects via an app (super easy to use), connects to the owlet sock, offers picture-in-picture, and doesn’t require a stand; can be installed directly into the wall (and provides everything you need to install it into the wall).
