    THIS CHAIR IS NOT SAFE
Customers should be aware that this CHAIR IS NOT SAFE! One of the wheels broke off while I was in the chair as I was about to enter the shower causing me to fall. DO NOT TRUST THIS CHAIR.

    A Mixed Review
First off this is not a wheelchair or a lift transfer chair. It is a shower chair or a commode on wheels. Pros: It is sturdy plus it rolls and maneuvers beautifully. The wheels lock well and it is comfortable to sit in. The pan is oblong and it’s nice that it has two handles. The foot stand is a nice touch. Cons: The foot stand does not reach the floor, as can be seen in Photo #5. The pan slides on its rails when the chair is pushed as it doesn’t lock in place and could fall out the back. The biggest problems I had were with the directions. The photos are tiny and unclear and there is no translation into English. I ended up with extra parts, as seen in Photo #7. That could account for the issues with the foot rest or pan, but I have no way of knowing.

Torn On Rating – Has 5-star Potential
Overall, this is a good quality chair, but it needs some design modification and much better instructions.PROS: It is designed for larger, wider, heavier people than a lot of products, so it accommodates “plus size”. My husband weighs 280 and I am easily able to roll him in the chair.Chair can be used as an actual chair. The middle removable section stays put and does not sink in when sat on. The chair is sturdy and feels as though it is made from quality material. It does fit over a standard height toilet. The height of the arms on the chair is comfortable.CONS: Terrible instructions and mismarked parts. I had to take the chair apart after assembling it due to the front bar being marked as the back bar. If the bars aren’t in the correct positions the catch tray cannot be removed from the front. Totally assembly, disassembly, and reassembly was well over an hour for me.The clips for the seat line up exactly with the bars that hold the catch bucket. In order to avoid the risk of breaking the plastic clips, the seat has to be moved to one side or the other from the metal rail. When the seat is move to one side, it cannot be opened without the risk of tearing the seat on the bolts. And it’s not as comfortable to sit on the seat if it is not centered. It does not fit over a comfort height (taller) toilet.NEUTRAL: The foot support does not reach the floor. This is a plus if moving someone, because you would not want that foot support to drag on the floor. But I think it is a minus if using the seat as a toilet or as a shower chair. I worry what will happen over time with weight constantly being put on the foot support without it touching the floor.OVERALL THOUGHTS: If half stars were available, I probably would have rated it 3.5 stars but it’s closer to 4 than 3 so that’s what I decided on. With a couple of design tweaks, improved printed instructions (the video in the listing is helpful), and properly labeled parts, this would be a 5-star chair.

Sturdy, But Not Portable; Assembly Is A Bit Challenging
The chair is sturdy and offers solid support. It’s also wide enough that it can accommodate people of larger sizes. It’s pretty easy to manuever, but it definitely works better on hard floor surfaces. Any type of thick carpet or a rug is much more challenging and nearly impossible. The casters also have locks to keep the chair from moving on its own.The plastic material allows for convenient cleaning and disinfecting, and I think the color will help minimize any sort of staining. There definitely could be a little more padding on the cushion, and there’s no padding on the backrest at all. It can be a little uncomfortable for extended lengths of time, especially for someone who is thin and frail without a lot of body fat.I like that it’s multi-functional and can be used as a wheelchair/transport chair, as well as a shower chair or a toilet chair. The design is not collapsible, though, so it’s not going to be something that you can travel with. It’s essentially just for using around the house, etc.Assembly is frustrating because the instructions are VERY basic, so it’s a little more time consuming than originally anticipated. And if you don’t get the correct parts in their proper place, then it’s going to throw everything off. If you can get past the challenge with assembling it, the chair itself is nice overall.
