Be careful before you buy
Consider everything before buying this lift chair. It requires a lot of room in the bathroom to make use of the lift-the-patient-off-the seat feature. The most disappointing feature is the pump, if you can call it that. It’s weak and flimsy and not adequate. Be warned: you cannot use the pump to lift the chair up with the patient sitting on it.For example, the patient sits on the bed and you slide the two halves of the seat under her and lock the seat together. You might then want to raise the seat and the patient enough to clear the top of the bed to pull the chair away from the bed. Not possible. The pump is too weak to do that. In fact, the instructions advise you not to use the pump in this manner. However, the instructions are printed on the smallest card and with the smallest print. Absolutely terrible!I returned the chair but 2ND WARNING: YOU PAY THE RETURN CHARGE OF $60.

Disappointment with useless equipment
took 30 days to receive. Only picture instructions. The base does not expand to go around a chair. I bought this to transfer from my wheelchair to the toilet and it does not accommodate either one. I wish companies would take the great idea and actually see if it works in reality with a disabled person!
