Rock-solid smart lock—easy and reliable
Installed for our hotel office door—setup was quick, Wi-Fi/app control works smoothly, and auto-lock is dependable. Alexa integration, activity logs, and keypad access make management simple. Battery life has been solid so far. Great value.

Good price, good quality, easy to install. Way better than the unit I had before it (Ultraloq).
Easy to install to replace the Utec/Ultraloq, which had crapped out after less than one year of operation.The Phillips unit is far superior, as it has a decent phone app and can also work with our Alexa. It also has built-in WiFi so we can scrap the bridge that the Ultraloq required.This new unit has a smooth operation, provides a great record of who locked/unlocked the door via the keypad. WE can assigne numbers to each family member or others who might come and go. This can be done on a one-time basis, for a given period of time, etc etc. And it can all be done form the phone, regardless of our location.Being able to secure your home is a critical function … don’t take a chance!I discourage anyone from buying the Ultraloq unit. It was sketchy to begin with (the thumbprint scanner seldom worked) and last week it would not respond to the keypad. I contacted customer service, as I was an original buyer of 2 units during a crowd-raise. One was installed 5 years ago, and the other I kept until last year for a new install. It didn’t last 12 months. After several days of trying different fixes, their customer service offered me a replacement at list less 30%, which if you shop around is available to everyone. So not exactly bending over backward.The Phillips unit was marginally more money than the crappier Ultrloq (even after their discount), so I went with it. I hope it lasts longer … and so far so good. The thumb scanner etc, works great.

Easy to set up and easy to use
So far so good. Installation yesterday was super easy and I just used the video set up on the Amazon product page. After set up, download the app, which easily connects to wifi, and then ready to add people and their chosen pins. Love the feature to be able to lock and unlock by phone if needed, and love the it links to Alexa for voice locking and unlocking. Only problem encountered with set up was trying to set up the fingerprint feature as after it was complete, my fingerprint did nothing. Overall, very functional for our family to all have access without needing keys.

App is not dependable
I bought the Phillips Home Access Smart Dead Bolt for our AirBnB. We loved the idea of having our own code and could assign guests their own code with the option to change it with each guest. It was a pretty easy installation but getting the app to work was a different story. The app did not find my device the first day we tried it. We tried scanning the QR code provided on the back of the battery panel and even tried manually entering in the combination it was asking with no luck. The second day it was able to find the device simply by being next to it, it would connect to the Bluetooth and could verify our master code we entered in but would not go any further than that. It would say “connection failed”. I tried removing the batteries, trying new batteries, I did a speed test on my WiFi, I tried resetting the lock and deleting and redownloading the app all with no luck. It was very frustrating. I tried calling the number provided for customer support but could not reach anyone, I had to leave a message. I did end up emailing Phillips about their product but by the time they got back to me we had already switched out the lock. They said the app needed to be updated and they were working on it. I am unsure if this would have helped but I felt like this product was not dependable with the app not working to its full capacity. Especially if this would have happened when I was trying to get guests in my house.
