Cutting tablets in 3
When I figure out how to use this, will do a review. The reason I bought it was to cut an oblong tablet in thirds but I think this is for round tablets to cut in thirds. Have to figure it out. I thought when I reviewed the product it did say it can be used to cut oblong tablets in thirds.

The convenience of being able to quarter pills is great!
I love the fact that you could split the pills in quarters, but it was still a little harder to get the measurement just right, however, I am going to keep working at it! I love the fact that it has a storage option as well!

Great!
This works so well. I struggled for a long time with trying to cut in 1/4ths. So easy and no more crushed or uneven one.

Crushes about as much as it cuts, but still better than doing it with a knife
Day 3 Review: Good idea, but it does a lot more crushing than cutting.DIMENSIONS: This Multifunctional Pill Cutter by YULIKIKER is about 8.5cm by 6.5cm by 3.5cm (3.35 inches x 2.56 inches x 1.38 inches); this might be a bit bulky by pill cutter standards, but that’s due to its increased functionality. It’s 3.2 ounces in weight.FUNCTIONALITY: If you’ve ever had instructions by a veterinarian to give 1/3 of a tablet of something to your pet, you may be well aware of how annoying that would be. That’s the nice thing about this pill cutter: one the left side, it has a rig set up to cut a round tablet into three equal pieces. On the right side, there are blades set up like a cross which allows tablets to be cut into half or quarters. On both sides, there are little brackets that hold the tablet in place. There’s a little lever that moves these brackets to accommodate your tablet.Cutting oblong tablets in half: This pill cutter has some limitations with tablet size. On the 1/2 or 1/4 side (the right side), the brackets only extend to hold a tablet 15mm in size. This means that my oblong acetaminophen tablet that is about 17mm long can’t fit so you can cut it across the shorter dimension; I have to cut it lengthwise. It’s easy to use: it takes minimal pressure to bring the lid with the blades onto the tablet. It’s not the cleanest cut admittedly: the right half of the tablet was crushed and cracked into two.Cutting oblong tablets into quarters: again, easy to do, but it’s not the cleanest cut. There’s a fair bit of crushing. The opposite side of the cutter features four compartments to keep your pieces of tablet after cutting, if you didn’t want to just put it back into the original container.Cutting round tablets into thirds: again, easy to do, but lots of crushing and dust.OVERALL: I did say that the cuts weren’t the cleanest (it crushes as much as it cuts), but it’s certainly significantly better than my attempts with a knife, and much easier too.

Truly “Cuts to Size” — A Pill Splitter That Delivers Precision & Practicality
I’ve tried a few pill cutters over the years, and this 3-in-1 pill cutter and storage box (halves, thirds, quarters) has impressed me enough to write what I think are the key things people should know. Here are my honest thoughts after several weeks of use:⭐ What’s GreatVery Precise CuttingThe triple-blade setup (half, third, quarter) works surprisingly well. Small to medium pills are centered and cut cleanly with minimal crumbling. For those who need odd fractions (like thirds), this model does a solid job.VersatilityIt handles many shapes—round, oval, oblong, even somewhat irregular. No need to fidget or re-orient pills constantly. It’s one tool covering more situations, instead of owning multiple cutters.Built-in StorageThe four compartments with silicone seals are a thoughtful touch. Great for organizing daily or travel dosing. The clear plastic lets you peek in without opening every section. It keeps things tidy and protected from moisture.User-friendly DesignThe centering device is genuinely helpful, especially for tiny pills where aligning them is usually tedious. Also, the grip and the opening mechanism are comfortable even if your hands aren’t super strong. Perfect for older users or for travel.Compact and Travel-ReadyIt’s small enough to fit into a purse or travel kit, yet feels sturdy. The design balances portability with functionality. If you travel or commute, this is very handy.⚠️ Things to Be Aware OfVery large, very hard pills near the upper size limit are tougher to split perfectly—sometimes one side ends up slightly uneven. The plastic housing, although durable enough, isn’t indestructible. If dropped repeatedly, parts might loosen or crack.Cleaning can be a little fiddly, because tiny fragments of some pills tend to get lodged around the blade or in the centering device. A small brush or rinsing helps, but extra effort is needed.🔍 Overall VerdictFor anyone who needs more than just “halves”—especially those needing thirds or quarters occasionally—this is one of the best multi-use cutters I’ve used. It balances precision, storage, and ease of use very well. If I were advising someone, I’d say: this is a great choice for daily use, travel, or for someone managing multiple meds with dose adjustments. Definitely a 5-star product.

Crushes tablets when cutting
I needed small tablets cut into quarters. This cutter did cut them, but also crushed them a bit in the process which meant each piece had less medication than it should. I found a different cutter that cut evenly and cleanly.

surprisingly well engineered
Consistently cuts all the pills I have tried .The transparent top is nice compared to some other versions so that you can easily see how the cut went without opening the lid only to see that it wasn’t complete and then squashing it back down on the pill after it’s moved turning it into a dust. The securing mechanisms are extremely easy to use and are using gears so they don’t rattle loose, they maintain a firm hold on the pill. For extremely tiny or poorly compressed powdered pills there is some small fragmentation but it is minuscule and I have had this problem with every single other pill cutter I have tried. This is pretty much the only pill cutter I need now. I find that 1/3 cutters are relatively rare but this combination makes it all in one stop for essentially everything. The only negative is that the blades are not easily replaceable.
