No more fear, No pain, the perfect system for me, who is scared of needles!
Alright, there is no one on the face of the earth that is more scared of needles than I am.It took a few months for me to work of the courage to use these, and I’m 46 year old dude. I had a family member do it on me and once I actually did it, I realized that all that fear was silly. You don’t feal anything, I’ve used the blue 1.0 mm needles, and the purple 1.6mm needles, and now I can monitor my glucose levels multiple times a day.I don’t know if this one is just so much better than the rest, or they are all this easy.I did a ton of research before I ordered this, through forums, google, reddit etc, to find out what the most painless device to use, and I heard nothing but amazing reviews for this, and now that I am a daily user I wanted to come back and share my feedback. If you are scared, I get it… But once you do it once, you’ll realize there is nothing to be scared of.The device has memory, cost wasn’t a concern for me, but I do feel like this is a value, I would have paid a huge premium to make this task painless and easy, and it seems like this is soooo easy to use.anyway, monitor your readings, make adjustments, and get on the road to recovery!

    Best choice lancets.
Quality, quality, quality. Clever designed lancets. Good price and value. I will never go back to the old style lancets. I compared readings to my old monitor and they were very close. I recommend and I will purchase again.

Fantastic BGM for people with needle anxiety & struggling to get decent draws for test strips
Being diganosed with Gestational Diabetes sucked. I knew it was going to mean constant blood glucose monitoring, and I’ve never been a fan of needles. I also have dyspraxia which affects my hand-eye coordination and I’ve always struggled with anxiety – my doctor perscribed me a standard BGM and I tried it out for a few days. It’s not that I couldn’t use it…but I would load the lancet and then get stressed seeing the needle and hearing the click of the lancing device. Then even once you get over using the thing…half the time I wouldn’t get enough blood no matter what depth I used. That and the blood channel on the test strips I was using was pretty long – so sometimes it would soak up to half way and error out. Fustrating. So I researched other options and found Pip – at first I saw the lancets and reviews seemed to be indicating this is what I was looking for – but then I noticed the meter and an image of the test strip caught my eye – it had a MUCH smaller blood channel! I checked the company’s website to confirm this was the case and decided to jump in on the whole meter pack.I will say the first few uses of the lancets I bruised a little but it may be my fingers getting used to this process. But these are a lot simpler – and not seeing the needle takes most of the anxiety out of it. But now I get a blood draw in 1-2 attempts instead of the 5-6 that were giving me stress with other lancets. There’s a lot less pain – I guess part mental as there’s less time to get stressed in set-up, but also the needle is exact each time.Yes the little meter does take 6 seconds to read – but it’s quite cute looking and easy to use – there’s a manual in the box that explains everything for setup and how to access test memory. Everything you need is in the box to get started including some of the next level lancets if the blue ones are not working for you. You also get a little case for the lancets and a carry case for the device with spots for everything you need for on the go testing.I was able to successfully test and feed the strip – I’ve been using the MySugr app to track my blood sugar – maybe if there’s one thing that would be nice to see – is a next gen Pip have bluetooth and an app it can quickly send tracking data to.But for what it is – I think it’s great value – the lancets themselves are $10 which is maybe a little bit more than the cheap no-brand options. But I’ll happilly pay the few dollars extra to avoid the stress of the old style lancets! I’m a big fan of the Pip meter so far. I will eventually be getting a CGM – but I’ll continue to use my Pip when I need to do a double check or need a backup for my BG readings. Thank you for making this product!

    So easy and affordable
3 out of my family of 5 are diabetic and this has to be the easiest glucose meter we have had. I bought all three of us one and we all say the same thing. Plus we carry it with us so when we notice our dexcoms seem off we grab this to verify.

    Readings are off
Love the lancets. I bought this due to the amazing reviews on social media. I have a hard time finding my test strips in stock at pharmacies so figured I’d pick this up. I don’t need to test often due to wearing a cgm. This device measures about 20mg higher than my cgm and my other monitor. When I reached out to see if I did something wrong or if I had a dud, I found out they can have a 20% inaccuracy up or down. While this may not bother some, it could cause panic especially if the meter is always reading higher. I tried multiple times, different times of the day and made sure to always wash my hands etc. and compared to cgm and my contour one touch. I’m disappointed in the device and their customer service.
