    Helpful!
Very helpful! I’m a hospital chaplain. These have been helpful when I have a patient who is conscious but unable to speak because of breathing apparatus.

    Easy, helpful tool
I bought this for my brother who is afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease. He doesn’t use it now, but it’s in place for the future. It’s a great tool; so many situations are covered.

    Nice, but Busy
I got these sheets hoping to they could help me communicate with my mother after her stroke. There are lots of things on the pages, and a lot of the pictures show very useful scenarios, though many of them weren’t quite helpful while she was in a hospital setting. I did find the pages a bit busy, with a lot of smallish pictures and smaller pictures for those older adults with visual issues. My mother didn’t particularly like the sheets, though our speech therapist also said that the sheets were nice, but not for those who are first suffering from aphasic issues. My mother also seemed to be both fascinated and annoyed by the writing on the sheets — I don’t know that she could read the words, or was upset that she couldn’t read them though. If the person you’re using the sheets with is sensitive to the use of words, be aware that the words/writing are used under every picture on these sheets. That all said, I do like the idea of these sheets. They’re of a good size without being overlarge or hard to handle, and they’re very durable, being plasticized or laminated so they can be easily cleaned. If you’re looking for a sheet (or set of sheets) that fit these parameters, these are good sheets to put a bit of money into!

Not a toy. A useful medical device for communication
I loved how easy this vividly colored communication device was to use. It was extremely durable and a great size. It’s main use is to help communicate with someone who perhaps had a stroke or has other communication problems. All those suitable for use with children I am not sure if this is his primary use.

Unfortunately, they weren’t helpful for a family member, with dementia At an earlier stage,I think success would have happened .I also found that the categories, were not very clear
