Wanted to track a new health indicator…
While I’ve never needed to check my levels, I was curious as to how this monitor worked and what trends I might learn about myself. Also I have some friends and family who do need to check and it may be useful as a backup to have for visitors.Anyway I had never done this before so I followed the clear instructions to get a sample, load the device, and get a reading. I have to admit I spent a few strips getting the hang of it, but the machine’s onscreen messages and the instructions together helped me get used to it.It also has a Bluetooth connection and a carrying case as well as a supply of strips. To me it seemed a good value for the price.

NOT accurate!!!
I tried this and tested it against a meter that is fairly accurate (usually within 5 points).I did 2 tests only 1 minute apart, the first reading was 108, one minute later it was 129. I do not call this accurate at all to be over 20 points different within a short time period, I know my glucose did not change in that amount of time, and my trusty one read 117. A variance like this could cause unneeded anxiety with the higher readings.I am so disappointed in all the meters, it seems very few are accurate whether it is the fault of the meter or the strips. I can’t believe that these meters are being permitted for sale when they can’t accurately measure the glucose, these companies need to really step it up and make meters better. There is no use testing when you don’t know how accurate the readings will be.I didn’t get any errors yet but who knows? I do feel that the strips have more to do with accuracy and errors. I know of one person that had a different meter that NEVER gave a reading, it was constant errors.I really don’t know what meter to get anymore, the one I have that is decent the strips are outrageously priced and even with insurance I have to pay half which is now very expensive.I did a search and I can’t find what strips work with this unit so I don’t know if you can even find replacements. They really should have a link for their strips if they are going to sell a unit.So buyer beware this may be a one and done unit?

Strips don’t work in machine

I use a blood glucose monitor every day so I was excited to find this one on Vine. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been very useful. When the strips work, it is great and gives pretty accurate readings. Unfortunately, almost all of the strips I have tried have given me an error. Again, I use a blood glucose monitor regularly, so I know what I’m doing. There is absolutely no reason that I keep getting this error message except that the strips are faulty. I’d like to give this a better rating, but I need strips that work before I can.

Blood Glucose Monitor Kit with Bluetooth
Blood Glucose Kit, comes with everything to get you started to watching those glucose levels. Easy to setup and use. It does tell you it’s already preset, but I did have to change date and time. Holding S button puts you into setup mode or erase mode for memory. Memory can store up to 500 settings. You press the M button once you in set up to change each setting. The lancet holder you simply twist top off (hold gray area and twist) insert lancet, it then loads and is ready to use. You can also pull bottom of device to make sure it is cocked and ready to use, there will be a small click. You can set the dial on top, but 3 is most used setting as far as tip coming out and perching finger for a more accurate reading. Once you insert the strip in top of meter it turns on. Button on side you slide forward to release strip when done measuring levels, same as when you remove top from lancet device it also has button on side you slide to eject lancet. Simple device, easy to use. It does have a app you can download if you like to keep up with several health readings and glucose levels if you keep records each day. Device is blue tooth also so it can connect to phone and store your readings without have to enter manually if you like. I do wish it had came with a small chart to compare readings to so one would know where levels are. It also can be set to UK readings. USA, blood glucose levels are given in mg/dL while in the UK the standard is mmol/L. Device is set in USA mg/dL. Great kit for beginners or anyone that monitors glucose levels. Great for traveling because everything is inside the carrying case and it is small enough to drop in an overnight bag or purse.
