A little over priced, but works well and the product support is great
This timer has functionality and aesthetic appeal, making it a unique addition to our kitchen. While I typically rely on our Google Pixel Tablet bright display for setting timers, I find great value in being able to visually monitor the remaining time at a glance, especially when one of the kids may have the tablet away from the kitchen. This timer boasts a large display that’s easily visible from several feet away, making it a practical choice for cluttered cooking environments. Users can customize their alerts from a selection of notifications: a gentle soft chime for a more subtle reminder, a louder chime for when you’re in the thick of cooking, or even an option for silent alerts or vibrations for those who prefer a discreet approach. The vibration choice was an interesting option. The timer itself is small enough to fit in a loose pocket (maybe sweats or pajama bottoms), which makes the vibration sense. One of my favorite features of this timer is its clever design. Preset timers can be activated by rotating the cube until the desired time is facing upwards. Once in position, the countdown begins automatically after a brief moment. To pause the timer, one simply tilts the digital face upward; returning it to its original position seamlessly resumes the countdown. I love this. It took a bit to get used to it, but once you use it a few times, it becomes easy to use. We use the 15-minute timer the most, but I loved the 3-minute option for searing steaks.Setting a custom timer is easy, too, accomplished by rotating a large, easy-to-grip dial. We have used this timer outside on the patio for BBQing, and it has a convenient magnetic mount, which allows for placement on our BBQ. Given the nature of cooking and outdoor grilling, spills and messes are inevitable, and the fabric casing may be stained easily. We’ll see.For $40, it’s a bit overpriced for what it is. This is especially true in today’s world, where timers are on our phones, smartwatches, microwaves, and other smart devices. However, we’ll utilize this more than most timers in the kitchen, so that $40 value will be determined by how much you use it.

Your phone can do this, BUT …
I became an immediate fan of this device for one simple reason – the cognitive load to use it is close to zero. I have used apps, both on my phone and in the browser, to do this kind of thing, but the cost to activate is far too high. With this timer, I just reach my arm over and turn it. It’s an operation I can do without thinking, which means I can do it without disrupting my flow. Any programmer can tell you how fragile concentration and mental models can be.Besides being fantastic at pomodoro-style concentration tracking, this timer has helped me be on time for online meetings. Countless times, I would see the 10-minute warning notification from my calendar app and still be late to the meeting. I’d try to get something done with the available time before the meeting, and ultimately end up distracted and joining the meeting several minutes late. Now, when I see the 10-minute warning from my calendar app, I rotate my timer to 10 minutes. I then have a very visible countdown of how much time I have before the meeting starts, and a few beeps if I fall down a rabbit hole. There are so many uses for this timer, especially given the dial to set custom countdowns. This would be fantastic for keeping a speech on time, or just to avoid rambling during a presentation. It’s absolutely perfect at breaking up my day into more focused chunks of time. The magnets work great, but I prefer to keep this just under my monitor so I can easily reach it. When I don’t need it, I flip it up on its back or face, and it shuts itself off after a few seconds.Even though I have many things that can run countdowns for me, having dedicated hardware makes sense. For me, a countdown has to be dead simple for me to use it often enough to integrate into my workflow. This thing is. It’s constructed well, is brilliantly thought out, and charges via USB-C. I highly recommend it to other programmers who need a bit of help focusing and managing time.

Best Rechargeable Timer Ever, I Love the Pomodoro Setting
I picked up this timer cube for a variety of reasons, but its primary purpose was to help my son take more regular screen/stretch breaks when he’s on the computer. The flip-to-set and flip-to-pause features are incredibly convenient. I have found that I love using it for the Pomodoro technique when I’m working as well. It has good battery life and can also be used while charging, simply flip it face down for your pause, rather than backward. It’s a practical productivity tool for staying focused that can also work well in the kitchen or classroom settings.Pros:- Works very well for productivity.- Good battery life and can be used while charging.- Convenient flip-to-set and flip-to-pause features.- LOVE this for the built-in Pomodoro timer.- Magnetic.- Heavy-duty, enough weight to feel high-quality.- Multiple sound profiles, from silent to loud.Cons:- Adjustable sound alert can get bumped to vibrate, so be sure to make sure sound is on.- Loud volume setting may not be loud enough to hear from another room.

This is the most unique and high tech timer I’ve ever seen. As soon as we opened it up my 8yr old son was hooked. He figured it out instantly without needing any instructions. The intuitive design makes it incredibly easy to use, even for kids.We mainly use it for homework sessions, reading time, and when brushing his teeth. It’s turned those routines into something fun and engaging. Other times he just likes playing around with it. The tactile experience of flipping the timer to set the time limit is brilliant. It’s visual, physical and very satisfying. You can just flip the cube to the desired time and it starts automatically with no buttons and no fumbing around with it. It includes preset options of 3, 10, 15 and 30 minutes plus a rotory dial to customize your own timer for up to 99 minutes. It has a bright, colourful LED screen that is easy to read and it features a progress ring around the edge that visually shows how much time is remaining. You can customize the alert depending on your environment which is perfect for quietier settings. You are able to choose a silent notification, a gentle beep, a louder beep or a vibration when the timer ends. The timer is rechargeable with the included USB-C cable so you don’t need to worry about constantly replacing batteries. It’s compact and stylish so you can keep it on a desk or bathroom counter. It also has a magnetic back which lets you mount it in creative spots around your home when needed. We attach ours to the bathroom light switch when my son’s brushing his teeth so that it doesn’t get wet.I highly recommend this timer for families, students, or anyone looking for a simple, engaging way to manage time. It’s a small device with a big impact.

This timer is actually made very very well. It seems and looks like a really premium product from the outside. It does function very well and it’s quick and responsive when you’re changing it around to another side. The sound is loud and can be adjusted which is really nice. My issues are that sometimes it doesn’t always start but that’s probably just me using it. I do think the display could look better. I understand the color scheme they went with but in my opinion, it could be done better. Otherwise, this is a fantastic timer.

REACHER Pomodoro Timer Cube | Visual Countdown Timer | Study Timer for Classroom | Silent Vibration Modes | 3.3″ High-Contrast Display | Magnetic Digital Cube with USB-C | for Kids, Kitchen, Home. The timer is a nice rechargeable visual countdown timer. The finish is covered in a woven cloth so it provides its own soft side for sitting on the counter or other hard surface. The downside is that the woven cover can collect dirt. It seems to be easy to clean though, so it hasn’t been an issue. The timer is easy to use. It comes with 5 preset times (3min, 10min, 15min, 30min, and a 25min + 5 pomodoro timer) plus a custom time you can preset and call at any time. The custom time can be set to anything from 1 to 99 minutes using a dial that is easy and quick. The timer is activated by tipping the timer so that it is facing forward with the preset time facing up. You can pause it by tipping the timer onto its back, and then resume by tipping it forward again. The custom or pomodoro timer was accessed by pressing a button on the back. The timer was loud enough to be heard across a room or even in the next room. The volume could be set to off, vibrate, low, and high. The screen was well lit and easy to see in all light conditions making it ideal for bright kitchens. One nice feature this timer has is the strong magnet on the back. I was able to stick it to my stainless steel fridge and it held on nice and tight. I even tried it on my stainless microwave with the same success. This will be replacing my existing timer for baking in the kitchen. It’s so easy and convenient to use.

This is a rare case of form meeting function. The design on this is flawless. It’s just a timer, but it is the best kitchen timer I’ve ever used. I used to work in a kitchen as a sous chef in a fine French restaurant, I’ve used many different timers. I’m not sure how long it will last, that remains to be seen, but I am certain it will be fun to use the entire time. tip to the side you need, there’s large rubber labels that say “3”, 5″, 10″ “15” that also double as stabilizers, and the countdown starts! You get a visual of the countdown in LEDs around the outside of the display that shift to red from green – the nearer you get to the deadline. It looks like a very slow Phi Effect… very cool. You can of course set a time to whatever you want with a wheel, and there’s a button just for making Pomodoro sauce! 23 minutes! so you don’t overcook the tomatoes.

A perfect study-timer: extremely modern smart design with a cool flip feature and adjustable beeps, vibration, or silent alert modes. Simply having it on your desk will enhance focusing on the task at hand; having a dedicated timer, especially such a neat looking device, tends to have that purposeful effect. I could also consider it useful as a kitchen timer, but it needs to be handled with clean hands — so depends on how & what you cook. It is not however a clock, and the display turns off when not in active use (turns on automatically when picked up). When set to beep you do not need to touch it, just let run, it only lasts 10-seconds and stops… just gently alerts without intrusion by default, not an irritating alarm.REACHER Timer Cube has an easily readable large display, good battery, compact size, and I like how it feels. Decent weight, not heavy, not feeling cheap. The magnet base plate attaches firmly to metal; a nice feature. Standard USB-C recharging although does not need frequently charging.
