The sponge handle was the best idea for anything that allows the user to better grip the utensil.My wife gas Gout arthritis on one hand and arthitic finger on her other hand.The sponge handle allows her to better grip giving her more control

I was afraid that the black handle was made of hard plastic, but was not, is made of a SOFT FOAM… easy for my disabled child to hold… now she love to eat
