This is a game changer !
This is a game changer ! I always used to dread when a therapist cancelled and could not help me get my husband out of/back to bed. I knew that it meant I had to go knocking on neighbors’ doors or call our kids to come over to help me. And if i had no luck, he had to stay in bed.I am a senior citizen who doesn’t frequent the gym. Yet I am able to easily transfer my husband, alone, with this 18 inch pivot disc. Thank you for having this available to enhance our lives. Btw, whenever I did get help from a therapist, neighbors or family, I only asked them to be there in case. But I transferred him. It was a very strenuous and scary task which took a minute or two, rather than seconds which it takes with the pivot disc.

A knee saver!!!
This product is life changing for someone in a wheelchair and can’t bear full weight on one or both legs. It saves your good knee & ankle from getting all twisted when you have to turn around to sit on commode, etc. Highly recommend for caregivers and patients alike.

Great for when it’s difficult to place weight on one leg or balance problem
I have three of these disks: bedside, recliner, bathroom. This is a great product. It does takes some practice with feet placement. It’s particularly good for someone with an unreliable knee/ankle/hip and where it’s dangerous to put the weight on the bad limb or someone with bad balance. Note, I have not used this on someone taller than me. I use this with my 90 yr old 150 lb aunt. Her back is very bent so it’s still a little tricky on how to hold her while rotating, i.e. her face is in my chest.I have not observed slippage of the *feet*, barefoot or with shoes, on the disc on any of them. The disc in the bathroom gets wet on and thus cleaned constantly. I am mindful to make sure the floor or disk are not slippery with soap buildup. I keep a spray bottle of vinegar/water to clean that area.

This is good for transfers
This is a very helpful item for transfers in tight locations. We have used it for my 89 year old mother when it’s hardA gait belt or something to support to lift her legs when getting in the car. I recommend using it with the bottom or back when rotating.

I was a little disappointed with this item. We have hardwood floors in our living room and were unable to use it there because it slipped around. We were very pleased with it on carpet.
