The sand timers have worked great for our toddler. The sand timers are heavy and sturdy because they are glass. However, I do wish it was plastic because my toddler has dropped them many times and I’m worried the glass will shatter. I don’t let her have access to them as much as I would if they were plastic. It hasn’t shattered yet, so they must be pretty durable.

Fabulous for teaching time
They are great for my kids 2,3,4 years old they love them. The only not great part is how delicate they are and easily break, this is my second set after having the first on for six months/

Helps with child frustration
Nice assortment of colors and time durations. Big enough for easy seeing across the room. A less frustrating way for the parent to say wait five minutes. And for the child to see how much longer until time is up.

The kids love them but
The kids love them but the sand tends to stick making them moderately inaccurate. For my purposes their fine but wish they didn’t stick. The colors are great and it helps tutoring sessions run smoother.

I tried the 30-minute hour glass and timed it with my phone. When I went back to the kitchen to check after 30 minutes, the sand somehow got stuck and the timer didn’t work.
