The sole of the slipper is two narrow, doesn’t match the top width. Size XS fits 5-6 3E wide.
I really struggle to find any type of foot wear for my special needs adult daughter. She has very short feet (size 4.5 shoe 6E wide) that are extremely wide and very thick from the bottom to the top – so she needs a very deep toe box and very wide openings over her foot. She’s heavy with thick calves and has swelling in the spring and summer time as well. These slippers looked to be as close a fit as I’ve ever found so I ordered them for her. They are too large in size (expected that) and the back sticks out behind her heel about 2 inches – but that’s ok for a slipper and it’s not sticking out beyond her toes, so she’s able to walk safely in these without tripping. She does drag her feet and the texture on the soles makes a rasping/zipping sound on hard floors which is kinda maddening, but she doesn’t have any other options out there. She really loves them… even though they don’t fit properly. But compared to other slippers at least she can wear them. The sole is too narrow and her feet fall over the edges – but the sole is well padded so it doesn’t hurt her to wear them with this issue. She needs a 6E Wide shoe and I’m guessing these are about a 3E width. They have a nice deep toe box, and open wide enough for her to get her feet into them, and the tops fit around her arches and calves and close and stick well. The hook n loop ginormous patch on the side is crazy in size and is attached so far down that it drags on the floor, but the other side on top of the slipper is a narrow strip – which is ok and much better than a huge monster patch. I’m confused by the notion of the big patch, as anyone needing the wide opening will never ever reach the bottom of that patch. It could be about half the size and still function very well to cover all the sizes this slipper is able to fit. If you are able to close this slipper where you need to reach the bottom of that hook n loop patch, then you’d fit a smaller and much nicer slipper. I noticed that in the product description the black slippers have a smaller hook n loop patch on the side (wonder why so big the the pink ones?)The size seems true to the stated size. I ordered the smallest slipper – an XS stated it fits a 5-6 and that’s the size I’d say it fits. Daughter needs a 4.5 – but they don’t offer a smaller size, or a wider sole. All in all I’ll buy these again as the only slippers my daughter can wear. Hopefully some day this company will offer a small and wider slipper too.
