    Good design, great length
This is a well made and very practical thing to have, especially if you are shorter, or not as strong and care for someone who needs assistance. Its much easier to use the belt to help guide someone, especially if you are someone who cannot catch and cannot carry. This product does its job.

    Durable and comfortable gait belt
This gait belt has been a valuable tool in my work. As a personal trainer specializing in working with individuals with Parkinson’s disease, I’ve found the Skil-Care Cotton Gait Belt to be an invaluable tool in my sessions. When working with clients who experience balance and mobility challenges, safety is my top priority, and this belt delivers.* Wide and Comfortable Cotton: The 2-inch width of this belt is a significant advantage. It distributes pressure evenly, providing a secure and comfortable grip for both myself and my clients. The cotton material is soft and doesn’t dig into the skin, which is especially important for individuals who might have increased sensitivity.* Secure Metal Buckle: The metal buckle is incredibly sturdy and reliable. It gives me confidence during transfers and gait training, knowing that the belt will stay securely fastened. With Parkinson’s, unexpected movements can occur, and this buckle provides that extra level of security.* Optimal Length for Versatility: The 72-inch length offers excellent versatility. It allows me to adjust the belt to fit clients of various sizes and provides ample room for maneuvering during different exercises and transfers. This flexibility is crucial when adapting to the diverse needs of my clients.* Enhanced Client Confidence: Using this gait belt not only improves my confidence in assisting my clients but also boosts theirs. They feel more secure and supported, which encourages them to participate more actively in their exercises.* Durable for Frequent Use: I use this belt multiple times a day, and it has held up remarkably well. The durable construction ensures it can withstand the rigors of frequent use, which is essential in my line of work.* Overall: The Skil-Care Cotton Gait Belt is a reliable and comfortable tool that I highly recommend for anyone working with individuals who need assistance with transfers or gait training, especially those with Parkinson’s. Its wide, comfortable design and secure metal buckle make it an essential part of my training sessions. It allows me to provide safe and effective support, ultimately helping my clients improve their mobility and independence. I have found it to be a very helpful tool.

    Great Multipurpose Belt
The Skil-Care Cotton Gait Belt, Pastel Stripe, Metal Buckle, 60″L and 2″ Wide, Durable Transfer and Physical Therapy Belt, 252070 is a multipurpose belt as my wife uses it as a yoga strap. She is pleased with the length of the belt and the value for the size of the belt. It functions well as a yoga strap and is easy to use. She is also pleased with the color of the belt as she is tired of bland yoga belts.

    Important safety belt when needed
My father is very unstable on his feet. This belt helps us assist him getting up and down. Additionally if he is falling it gives us something to grab onto.Never thought we would need one but here we are and it has helped a couple times already. It is sturdy and holds his weight well about 150 lbs.

Nicely made. Thick/durable belt. Buckle is a pain…
This is a nicely made item and the belt and buckle are very strong. It works as intended. It’s hard to see the color in the listing pic so I attached one.Having used a gait belt before, I can tell you that it is a bit of a pain if you are using it to care for someone, as opposed to using it for rehab, where you are working with someone straight for 1 hr. For example, I put this on the person I was watching when she got out of bed. We walked to the bathroom and I realized that it was difficult to get the pants up because the belt was holding the shirt/sweatshirt down and I had to take it off. The other issue is the length. They makes these with the one-size-fits-most strategy in mind, so if your person is normal size, there is a lot of extra belt length that you have to figure out what to do with. This one is “small” at 60″. Another one I looked at was 72″. There is probably some trick, but I haven’t taken the time to come up with something. I left the belt for the caregiver to use and will only be using this for very specific occasions, like doing the stairs. Also, note that they offer a belt that snaps open/close. I would think that is a better option and I’m not sure why no one came up with that before. Maybe those are not as durable if you have a larger person, I don’t know, but, just sayin…At $9, I think the price is quite reasonable for the quality and what you get.

    Helping with stability
As a caregiver to a dementia patient, this belt is helping with stabilization. This is especially important when the person neglects to use the walker. I can help the person get up from sitting and while walking. It is easy to put around the person and tighten. I placed it slightly above the waist to allow me to help the person in the bathroom. It appears to be very sturdy. I am able to grab it from behind when helping the person when walking or getting up from sitting. It is loose enough to provide some movement, but tight enough to help me with caregiving.

Very strong belting for supporting balance.
I would recommend this super strong belting with metal buckle to anyone trying to help someone with mobility issues. It is well-constructed, helps me maintain a firm grip on the back of my family member who recently had a stroke, and has made it easier for him to perform his home exercises. I was also able to use the belt for assistance when we went out in the car. This is very helpful for me as a caregiver. It is strongly recommended and I can stand behind it. I would order again if needed.
