Taz Cat –
Good basic gait belt, useful for other applications as well
Pros:Good lengthSturdy, well made, durable buckleNice choice of colors and looks goodEasy to cleanQuick and easy to useHolds up well and does it’s job plus more besides.Good priceCons:Doesn’t have a retainer loop for the “free” end of the beltI own three of these belts. Two from Lambox and one from this company. Both brands are solid, well made from quality heavy duty webbing and have sturdy quick release buckles. The main difference between them is that the Lambox ones have a retainer loop to secure the loose end of the belt from flapping around… a nice addition but not absolutely required. I also feel like the Lambox ones might be just slightly heavier duty webbing but may just be my perception. This one is plenty heavy duty enough imo.I actually use these frequently for a purpose other than as a gait belt. I play adaptive sports (sled hockey and wheelchair football) and these work PERFECTLY to secure my legs in place to my sled or wheelchair and apply a preset amount of pressure to prevent my knees from buckling outward painfully. I do add velcro attached pads (intended for backpack straps) made by Fiel when I use these straps for this purpose.I bought this specific one largely because it came in bright orange.
