A cozy, calming retreat for kids with sensory needs
This Skil-Care Sensory Swing is a fantastic addition to our home for our child who benefits from sensory input. Measuring 80″ L x 63″ W, it provides ample space for a snug, cocoon-like experience. Setting it up was straightforward; especially since everything needed was provided.My kids as well as their friends love to take turns swinging and twisting up in this! Many of them with adhd, and on the spectrum. One of my kids loves to lay flat in it, face out looking to the floor where he’s placed a book.Crafted from a soft cotton-polyester blend (60% cotton/40% polyester), the fabric is gentle against the skin and easy to clean. A great way to decompress and relax
This swing (hammock/sling/swing) has been amazing for my 9yo over the past summer. We ended up putting it outside, suspending it from our maple tree, because that way there was plenty of room around the swing itself. It was super easy to get it set up, and my 9yo has just loved being able to go out back and hang out in her swing. It’s great for swinging, but also to curl up in just to read, to relax, to daydream, all the fun things a kid needs to do! My 9yo is right in the middle of “average” as far as height and weight, so she fits with no issues, but my older kids have also fit into it easily, and had a hoot spinning and swinging as well. I’m really put at ease with the 200lb weight limit–I feel secure knowing that the swing and the hardware could accommodate that much weight safely if needed.The fabric is light and soft and breezy, just what you’d want in an outdoor hammock swing type thing. I love this swing for being an outlet for my child, and she loves it because she has a place she can go to zip around and swing, but also be calm and quiet. It’s a great thing to have!

This swing is a lot of fun for children who like to swing and need a quiet place to decompress
I got this for my 6 yr old autistic granddaughter who loves to swing. We ended up installing it out on our covered back porch, because our house does not have the proper beams to hold the weight of the swing and my granddaughter. if you are a do-it-yourselfer and are comfortable with using power tools, assembly and installation should be pretty easy. It seems to be built quite sturdy as a couple of the neighbors kids, who are bigger than my Grand-daughter used it and it held up perfectly. The size is perfect for small or larger children. It is even a nice size for a small adult. The fabric is a bit stretchy, but durable and feels smooth and somewhat silky. This swing is a lot of fun for children who like to swing and need a quiet place to decompress and relax. I’m so glad my Grand-daughter enjoys it. it definitely gets a lot of use.

Fun but Flimsy – Not Built for Long-Term Use
While my kids enjoyed swinging in this, the material feels quite thin, and I could hear the stitching start to give even with just my 5-year-old sitting in it gently. Unfortunately, I don’t think it would hold up well with regular use, especially with kids climbing in and out frequently.

Decent quality sensory swing with 360° rotation hardware
Most of my kids have some sensory needs and love to swing. We already had one sensory swing, but I decided it would be nice to have two so they could have more turns and not fight so much. I like the colors of this one and the fabric feels nice. It was great to find one for this price with the hardware included to hang it with a 360° rotation mount, since my kids love spinning and twisting.I think it’s really cool that it has the bag attached so you can easily pack it up and take it on the go. Unfortunately, the cord lock on the drawstring has already broken, so our bag can’t be tightened shut. That’s not a dealbreaker for me, and I could replace it if I cared more, just thought it was worth mentioning that it only lasted a couple months.My biggest complaint is that it’s pretty stretchy and if you don’t have it hung high enough, you practically sit on the floor when you get in it. I probably should have guessed that since it’s one layer of fabric instead of two. My older kids prefer our other (double-layered) swing because it doesn’t stretch as much, but the little kids have just as much fun on this one. When I’ve laid/sat in it (I’m less than the recommended max 150 lbs), the fabric stretches but the seams don’t, which can get uncomfortable. All that said, I’ve only dropped one star for that because my kids still use it and enjoy it, and that was ultimately the point.

Easy to hang, came with all the parts needed, and the kids love it.This is advertised as being marketed toward special needs children, and I’m certain this would be great for that. But it’s also good for kids who are just wanting to crawl in and relax after playing hard outside.The fabric is lightweight, but definitely strong and sturdy. If hung properly, it will easily hold around 200lbs, so it’s ideal for kids into their teens. The mounting hardware is sturdy and solid.A great sensory hammock swing for kids!

Great for kids
My son loves this. We found the beam in the ceiling and secured the hooks to it. My husband who is 180 lbs of solid muscle hung from this without any indication of falling. My 6 month old loves to lay in this and swing. He falls asleep sometimes from the motion. Great to keep baby occupied and not in a bouncer all the time. Also make tummy time more enjoyable. It came with all the needed hardware except a drill and stud finder. He can also grow into this.
