Anyone with mobility issues or injury which makes movement painful will love this product. This exceptionally useful, highly functional, and well made item offers durability for long-term use. The friction reduction it provides makes it significantly easier and less painful to re-position. Position the tubular slide sheet for two-way slide along the open side’s length. It’s helpful for changing position in bed. It’s helpful for individuals getting into and out of beds, chairs, cars, etc. Carers may find these useful while easing lift slings into place (never leave one between patient & sling). It’s useful for carers in re-positioning bed-bound individuals. It’s great after surgery, injury, for any disease or age-related mobility issues. This is a good size for use in bed. Shorter tubes are available for use in seating. Two or three shorter tubes can help a carer with side to side repositioning of a person in bed. The fabric loop slides along on itself as the individual glides easily on top. When getting into a car, the open sides should be toward the back and front edges of the seat (provided closed ends are toward the door and center console, it can remain in place. Seat belt is essential). For sliding into a recliner chair, open sides would be along the arm rests. When sliding a bed-bound person back toward the head of the bed, open sides are along arms (Note: for an immobile person, using two – one for each side of the person – makes this easier. It’s less disruptive to tuck each tube half way under the person lengthwise). These tubular slide sheets are easiest on skin, and the carer, when removed by tugging fabric from the underside of the tube on either open side until fully released. Common sense is required for deciding when it is safe to leave in place, and when it should be removed.

No stiff plastic coating!
I particularly love this slider over others because it doesn’t have that plastic coating on one side that makes the fabric so stiff. I use it on the bed for my husband and we leave it under him so he can easily move a bit himself, say to shift on to his side in the middle of the night without my help. It is soft and silky so he likes it under him. It is very skin friendly. I ordered one about 6 months ago, and among the others I have ordered for different places and uses, like shifting out of his wheelchair to the couch, this is the only one without that plastic coating. It washes easily and air dries in almost no time. I just lay it on top of the bed for about 5 minutes. It is unbelievably strong too. I have pushed and pulled and dragged my husband around on it, and it’s still perfect. That’s why I just bought a second one!
