There must be a defect. There was a 9v battery that came with the monitor but no power; so I try 4 other 9v new batteries, and there was still no power. Very disappointing

Seems to be working well for my mother-in-law so far. She needs this for her husband who just came back from the hospital. She said it was easy to get set up and she said it the alarm sounds loudly enough for her to hear it whenever he gets up from his wheelchair. Not sure how long the battery will last and how quickly the device will drain it yet – so that remains to be seen.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Has been useful for caring for my 97 year old grandmother with a recent fracture who has dementia. It warns me before she gets up so that I can go help her as she forgets. It gives me peace of mind while I quickly step away.

Highly sensitive to movement
The pad worked as advertised. It was overkill for our situation. It is highly sensitive to movement. Every time my mother readjusted in her chair, it beeped. Every time she got up, it alarmed. And it really startled her. It would have been fine if the alarm went off only when she got up. Was not useful for us.
