I ordered this for my elderly mother who has dementia and lives in a memory care assisted living facility. Hopefully this will help the aids know when she tries to stand. (She forgets her press her pendant to call for help)

I bought this as an alert for when my elderly Mom attempts to get up. The chime alerts my sister so she can mitigate the situation. This let’s my sister feel safe to go to sleep at night.

Downgrading to four stars due to the seller. I still love the product. But I had a problem/question. I called Liberty Health Supply and left my name and number as requested by their system. I was told they would respond in 24 hours. That was SIX days ago (today is 1/8/19)!I bought the mattress alarm for use with my father who is at high risk for falling. He feels fine so he continually gets up on his own. The mattress version worked so well I bought this. It is also great. As soon as pressure is released from the sensor mat, the alarm goes off. And since it’s wireless, I can take it with me to different parts of the house. When it goes off I have time to get to my dad and help him with whatever he wants.

Doesn’t Work Correctly!
I ordered this because my elderly mother was getting up on her own and had a nasty fall into the tub because she was too stubborn to wake my sister who was sleeping right next to her on the couch. She has had a rough year and has lost the majority of her foot. I purchased this product to ensure she did not get up without alerting the caregiver that was with her. I live in another state than my mother so I relied on what my sisters told me about the product. They had been telling me that it did not work correctly. I visited this past weekend and was able to witness first hand what they were talking about. When my mother got up from her chair, I helped her to the restroom. The alarm did not go off until we were already in the bathroom!! This is totally unacceptable! I so wish I was still within policy for this product as I would definitely ask for a refund! I suppose I will have to buy a replacement pad and hope that this is the issue. For the money I paid for this product, I should get a free replacement!

Using it for my 97 year old Mother who is showing signs of dementia. If you are considering something like this, pay the extra for wireless. The chime alerts me, but doesn’t startle her.
