Nice & Easy
I absolutely love this smart lock! It was very easy to install and set up, and the instructions were simple to follow. The fingerprint and keypad work perfectly, and the app makes it so convenient to lock and unlock the door right from my phone. I also love that it auto-locks for extra peace of mind. Really awesome lock system with a powerful app for customization!
Really impressive smart lock system and definitely worth the extra money compared to some other units!First and foremost the install process was pretty easy and if you’ve swapped out handles or locks on other doors you can easily do it with this one as well.Second, the actual locking mechanism and digital keypad is pretty solid. My favorite feature is the fingerprint capabilities and we’ll talk about that more later. I will say it’s not the most responsive touchpad in the world and I do find that I have to click on the pad once or twice before it recognizes that I am touching it.Now onto my favorite things about this lock and thats the customization and the app. The app is super versatile and you can set up passcodes for yourself or anyone else at the house. If you forget to lock the front door you can pull up the app and check and lock it from your phone. Plus, they have little key fobs which can be placed near the lock and it’ll automatically open the door.The fingerprint capabilities is also super nice and this is the option my wife and I use most commonly. Lastly, once you’re leaving your house you just hold the “#” symbol and it locks the door.Overall we’re super pleased with this setup and love it for our front door!

Smonet Smart Front Door Lock – Great lock, even better customer service
When I was in need of a new front door lock, I decided to step into the world of smart locks. The Smonet Smart Front Door Lock caught my eye, and I’m delighted that I gave it a try. The process of downloading the app and pairing the lock was remarkably straightforward, providing a sense of reassurance about its ease of use.The app’s functionality and the lock’s capabilities through the app are truly impressive. The ability to assign unique codes to each user, with the added flexibility of customizing them to work within specific time frames, is empowering. The fingerprint setup was a breeze and performed admirably.The electronic deadbolt functioned perfectly AFTER a quick fix. At first, it did not lock or unlock properly (yes, I had fresh batteries). I emailed the manufacturer/customer service, and they responded quickly with a series of steps to troubleshoot the problem. When that did not work, they requested a video of the malfunctioning lock. Immediately, they were able to identify the problem and provide the correct solution. The deadbolt is now in excellent working condition. Elaine (customer service) was patient, polite, and professional. Despite the time difference, I was able to get my issue resolved within 48 hours of my initial complaint.The fingerprint sensor is actually what prompted me to purchase the Smonet Smart Front Door Lock. It is very responsive and super easy to set up. This is a wonderful option for older users who may have difficulty remembering the number combination for the code.Overall, this is a great product for the price. I have been genuinely happy with it and even more so with Smonet’s customer service. I definitely will check out their other products.

This lock was easy to install and works great. I did buy the gateway that allows it to be controlled from anywhere with the app. I’ve had no problems with it at all in about a year. I’ve never even checked the keys, I don’t need them, that’s why I bought this lock.

Great product, great service
It’s always feels like a bit of a roll of the dice when purchasing something that has an electronic component, a mechanical component, and an app that goes with it. In this case, it was a good purchase. This is being written 3 months after we purchased it.The app: Pairing it to the app was easy. I was surprised by the functionality of the app and what could be done with the lock through the app. We had contractors going in and out of our house while we were not there, and we were able to assign each one a separate code and know when they were showing up. The fingerprint configuration was easy and works well. The app is stable and we have not had any issues doing what we need to do with it. My only complaint with the app is that it apparently requires you to be within 6 feet of the door to “remotely” unlock it, even though we also have the WiFi G2 Gateway. I wouldn’t exactly consider that “remote” unlocking. I would have expected that with it also connected to the WiFi gateway that the door could be unlocked from anywhere that has Internet service. If this is possible, I’ll update my review if I figure out how to do it.The electronic deadbolt: This has functioned perfectly, although you do need to make sure the deadbolt latch doesn’t rub against the edge of the strike plate too much or it won’t be able to lock electronically. The fingerprint sensor is a big time-saver, since it’s much quicker to unlock the door using the fingerprint sensor than by typing in a code. The only thing I don’t like is the style of the keys on the keypad. You have to press firmly on the keypad for each number, and if someone who has never used the lock needs to lock it on their way out, there’s nothing identifying how to lock it (pressing the keypad to activate the keypad then holding down the “#” key for 2 seconds is not very intuitive). However, this was not significant enough to deduct any stars on the overall rating.The handle: We initially had an issue with the handle not fully pulling in the latch to open the door. We emailed the manufacturer and sent them a video of the issue. They responded right away, asked a few questions about the issue, determined that it was a defective unit, and shipped us a new handle. We installed the replacement handle and it works great now.Overall this is a great product for the price and we’ve been super happy with it and with Smonet’s customer service. We’ve ordered another electronic deadbolt for another door now that we know this one works well.

I have been looking for a smart lock and did a lot of research; I am happy that I made the right choice. It is an excellent product; I highly recommend it, as it exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install and set up. I didn’t get a chance to install it before the return window expired on amazon. A contractor installed it for me; however the lock doesn’t fully engage in the door frame when I use the app or lock it from the inside. The keypad password only unlocks the door and the key can only be used to unlock the door. The key is stuck in the lock position and cannot be removed to lock the door. The key can fully engage the door lock, but I cannot remove the key. I had messaged the supplier for support. After a little trouble shooting, a new lock was delivered to me at no cost. Thank you!

Since recieving my lock I have loved its operation. I am able to easily let my grandkids in the door after school. My own kids come and go easily as they need with only a code to punch in. No more lost keys ! (Yay!!)The install was really easy if you are even a little bit mechanically inclined. It was a snap. Took about 15 mins to install and another 15 to get codes and whatnot entered into the handy app. The app is somewhat lacking (TT Lock). But there is another app they have added called NextLock , and it is a much nicer interface.Summer was a great help when I did have an issue with the lock. She jumped right in to help me out, and everything was fixed right up in no time.I would highly recommend this lock if you want a lock that is great , key free, but also does not break the bank. Thank You Smonet !
