Decent Tuya WiFi smart plugs
Let me start by saying I already have quite a few Tuya smart devices in my home and I’ve become quite accustomed to the ins and outs of this specific IoT platform. To that end, I’m primarily going to be focused on reviewing this smart plug from a hardware perspective rather than the Tuya platform itself, as there’s already ample information available online regarding the pros and cons of the various major smart home IOT platforms.Installation is simple – just plug it in, then plug in the device you’re intending to control. It connected to my home’s 2.4GHz WiFi without issue, using the usual paring process in the Smart Life app. After being set up, I checked in my Alexa app and it’s compatible with voice command control via Alexa. My only nit pick would be that grounding type plugs (the 3-prong kind) don’t seem to insert fully, so these are probably better used with two-prong appliances. Overall, I’d say these are decent enough quality for controlling basic low current draw things like small fans, Christmas lights, etc. and for that they’re a good value.

Good quality, does what it says.
These plugs work fine once set up. You can download their app OR you can download the Home Life app for set up. Once set up, Alexa automatically installs so you can use voice command via Alexa besides using the manual power button on the side of the plug. For set up, please note that these (like many other apps) only work on 2.4Gh and not on 5G. Since I have a dual router, that was no problem since I already use on 2.4Gh for other apps. These are clean looking, they work perfectly after 10 days of regular use and seem like a good value for the money.

Excelent product
Works just perfect

Large
They work!!! My biggest issue with these smart plugs is their size. They’re so large, they actually make a 2 outlet a one outlet. You can only use the smart plug, nothing else. That’s very inconvenient.

Highly recommend these!
Great smart plugs. I like them so much, I bought a second set of 4.

Is it actually ETL listed?
These function just fine and the build quality seems OK. They connect through Wi-Fi, but unfortunately require the Tuya app to integrate so not ideal for me specifically but if you are OK with that, not a dealbreaker. Pretty easy to set up too. Energy use depends on whatever you are plugging into it. The biggest question I have is the product listing clearly states ETL listed, which for me is really important when considering electric devices (that or UL) – because I want to be certain they are safe. Every device I have that is legitimately listed/verified has the ETL interact logo prominently displayed on the device itself. Call me suspect, but I question why it is not present on either the product or the box – only the listing.
