Works Great, but Scan the extra QR code for instructions.
It looks like I am only the second reviewer who paid for the product. My experience was a little different.Bottom line: The outlet is working perfectly with Home Assistant and I can control both outlets as well as the USB ports separately.Why one star off? Setup was harder than it needed to be. Unlike other Matter devices these do not enter pairing mode automatically when turned on. You have to hold down a power button for 10-12 seconds, but the small slip of paper in the box only warns you that this will erase the factory settings. I found the solution after scanning a QR code only labeled “Scan Me”, which I at first assumed to take me to some sort of advertising.I appreciate the minimalist packaging, but leaving out these instructions was going too far.Edit: I am adding back a star because this is the first Matter device I have had which clearly notified me of a firmware update in HA, updated correctly, and did not require an extra app.Other observations:Pro:- The device in the outlet box seems smaller than Eve’s which is a plus in crowded boxes.- The minimal packaging means less to throw away or recycle.- Having the USB outlets is nice, and the fact that they can be switched off will (I hope) stop them from eating power when not in use.- Works fine with Home Assistant. No Apple/Google/Amazon device needed.Con:- Those controllable USB outlets are not labeled in the interface. You have to figure out for yourself that switches 3 and 4 control them.- The instructions are very Apple/Google/Amazon focused, and the list of supported routers or hubs only includes their products.- The cover plate hooks to the tabs you screw to the wall box. If your drywall (like mine) isn’t perfectly shaped the cover plate does not attach securely.- Very minor, but the included wire nuts are not big enough if you have more than one wire to connect to.

Works great with one very weird exception.
Was easy to set up, works seamlessly with Apple Home. 1 thing kept it from being a 5, for me. The USB C port worked flawlessly for all of my C devices—Except it will not work with my MagSafe iPhone charger. I know it’s not the MagSafe as it works with other outlets, it just will not work with this products C port. I tried it with two different MagSafes, neither works. The only hiccup.UPDATE: incredible customer service. I contacted them about the C port, and after about 15 EMails isolated the problem—My Belkin MagSafe, for whatever reason, requires at least 15W to function. The C port provides 10.5W, so that specific device will not function. It’s a device specific issue, everything else works perfect. I’m so impressed with their customer service, and the very limited nature of the one problem, that I’ve ordered another one.

Useless, won’t enter pairing mode
Garbage product. Will not reset or go into pairing mode. Tried instructions as sent with product multiple times. Does not enter pairing mode no matter what is done. No way to contact manufacturer. No manufacturer technical support. Will likely return.Save your time and don’t order junk without any customer service.

New product has worked flawlessly
As a beta tester of this product, I am extremely pleased to say that SmartSetup has done it again. I’ve had the outlet now for approximately 2 1/2 months and it has worked flawlessly. I am looking forward to adding to my collection as I have already done with their smart switch. Again to all the people at Smartsetup, well done!
